It was the last
Day.
Last day of school.
Last day to run
Eyes half open, shoelaces
Undone.
Last day to
Carry heavy bags.
Last day to
Start with prayers
And to end with play.
Last day of
Lockers slamming
In the hall.
Last day of yelling
Teachers.
Last day of
" please be quiet, let me teach."
Last day of
Detentions.
Last day to make
Benches as the tables
In a hotel
During lunch.
Last day of
That food fights.
Last day to say goodbye!
Everyone was
Taken at that moment.
Eyes filled with tears and the
Heart so sad.
Pictures were
Taken for memories forever.
Friends made
Promises to keep in
Touch forever.
Hugs were given and so
The signs and numbers
On that school
Dress that was
Supposed to be treasure
Forever and ever.
There was only
Me sitting alone in class.
Gazing into a
Distant space,
Counting each second till
I leave this place.
Sometimes, twenty-four
Hours is too
Much to stay put in.
The bottles of
Water were laying
On the floor,
Empty and so do I.
The crayons and chalks
We're Broken so
Was my self-esteem.
A silent tear
Falls from my eyes.
A kid pointed at
Me and laughed
And so all
Joined.
I kept my head down.
With no
Courage to speak for.
The bell rang.
And I ran out of
The class.
I fell
On my knees and cry.
No one can see
My pain
Filled life.
It doesn't shown
In my eyes.
Putting on an
Act, I walked
Through the halls.
Looking as if I don't care
At all.
The fear beneath
All fears was
Shaking up my soul.
Even when I
Was walking in the
Halls with
People so full.
Now the years
Have passed, and so
The old me.
But so many things
Were left
Unsaid.
So many questions
To ask.
So many reasons,
Why my inside
Feels so dead.
What if the kids
Who once
Laughed cross my path
Again.
What if it all
Start again.
