There is a girl
That I know.
She hides her grief, she
Hides the strife.
She wears a
Mask
To escape the knife.
It all began a
Time when
She was unaware.
She had no
Friends,
No love to share.
She cries every
Night and
Fakes
Every day.
She makes people happy
With the words she
Say.
She helps you through
Hard times, as
You do.
But you really
Don't know how much
She lied.
She can't bear
The hurt,
She can't bear the
Pain.
A feeling of numbness
She can't
Explain.
This is the life she
Walks alone.
Fighting with herself
Again and again.
Sometimes she wants this
Life to end.
No one
Will know her because
She smiles
Every now and then.
People around her
Say she is
Just foolish,
It's all in her head.
What they
Don't know is inside
She is already
Dead.
Sometimes she pretends
She is okay.
She holds back her
Tears and
Walk away.
The story about
Her life
Has never been said.
Everyone Loves
The Mask
She wears.
All the emotions
Of her
Are not true.
You don't know her.
Don't pretend
Like you do.
You knew nothing about
What she has
Been through.
She tells herself
She is
Okay,
But inside she
Want to cry.
No one understands
So she keeps quiet.
She tried but
No one can see.
That she is hurt, that she is
Broken, that she
Is not even her.
Now her
Heart
Is like a stone.
Wish someone could see
That she is
All alone.
