I lay here beside you,
Stroking your
Hair.
Like how you use to do,
Soft and gentle
Was your care.
It's so nice to feel a mother's
Warmth.
But now mom you
Are lying here with
All those pipes around.

I talked about all
Those memories and the
Good times we
Have spent together.
From the day
I was born till this day,
And the one when
You came and
Told me about cancer.

In your eyes I saw
Pain.
I want you to feel love.
So my tears
Refrained.
Wrapping my arms around,
I watched your
Every breath.
And prayed that this
Isn't your last.
The time went by too fast
And too quick.
Yesterday only you were
Teaching me
How to walk and
Now you are
Laying here.

Please, mom! Please
Wake up!
Open your eyes.
I want you to see how
Grown up I'm.
Please, mom! Wake up!
And tell me it's
Not true.
This is a nightmare.
Cause I don't want to lose you.

As time is growing
Closer,
My heart is breaking.
I lay here beside you,
Cause I want you forever.
Then there it is,
The moment I fear the most.
You breathe your last
And this is so
Cruel.

I held you close and
Wished you
Would breathe again.
I'm not ready
For this.
Mom!

I realize that you

Pain anymore.
You are in peace now
And your body
Is no longer sore.
I held your beautiful face
And cried my all.
I have lost my mom,
A friend that I can never
Get again.

I got up slowly and

Say goodbye.
I kissed you for the
Last time
And held you again,
As I slowly whispered,
Mom, you are my everything.
My entire world.
I'll miss you so much
And your lovable cuddles.
For now, I'm
Letting you go.
I'll wait until we meet again.
Mom!
You are my best friend
And will be
Always and forever.
You'll always be in my thoughts
And heart.
Just remember,
Your baby girl loves you
