Ch.52 Boss Time

Yuuki:Are these your friends?

Maverick:Hell yeah they are!

Kirito:Glad I could fully help you with something.

Leafa:Go on,Maverick, we got this.

Strea:This shall be fun!

Klein:Don't you forget about me!

Klein charged through the group and landed next to the others.

Leafa:Okay,now you're actually late!

Klein:Hey,give me a break!I took a wrong turn!

Maverick:Sleeping Knights!To me!

The knights nodded and followed me as a big guy tried to slam his axe down on me as I parried him leaving him open as I stabbed him in the chest and kicked my blade out of him,killing him instantly.

Maverick:Too easy.

I turned back and the enemies that the others were dealing with,had gotten healed by their mages.

Maverick:Keep them distracted!

Yuuki:Right!

Asuna:Copy that!

I used my Spriggan powers to warp behind them as I launched myself up into the air.

Maverick:Heads up!

As I fell I threw my sword into the head of a mage depleting his HP as Asuna used her flurry to strikes the shred the big guy. I grabbed my main sword off the ground as the remaining mages trembled in fear.

Mage:T-truce?

Maverick:Hmm.......I think not.

I charged my drain ability and dashed towards the mages and swiftly disposed of them before turning to the last one and placed my hand on the mage's chest and began to absorb his mana until it fully depleted.I smirked and finished the mage off as the boss chamber was now in sight.  

Maverick:Let's do this.

I opened the door to the boss chamber as the torches illuminated the boss room.The boss appeared as I unsheathed my sword and noticed everyone was staring at me.

Maverick:What?Do I got something on my face?

Yuuki:Um...Maverick, those friends of yours, are they just here to help us?

Maberick:Yep,they know how important this to you,all of you.

Asuna:He's right.So let's not make their effort for naught, okay?

Yuuki:Yeah,but I mean....We can't let you do all this and not give anything in return.

I stood in front of Yuuki and placed my hands on her shoulders as she slightly blushed.

Maverick:Even if I don't get anything.Seeing you smile,seeing you happy,that's enough for me.

I faced the other Sleeping Knights as the boss began to appear.

Maverick:You guys got some skill.Let's make your dream,a reality.Sound good?

Everyone:Yeah!

The boss yelled at us as Asuna playfully nudged my arm and got into her combat stance.

Maverick:We got one more shot at this!Don't hold back!

Everyone nodded and charged towards the boss.The boss swung his hammer on the ground as Tecchi took the damage with his shield as Yuuki and Nori followed up with an attack as the boss began to aggro towards Yuuki.I ran in and hit the monster a couple of times gaining his attention.The boss faced me as I gestured him to come at me.He charged at me as I dodged all around him like a hunter and took a couple hits with my armor.I kept slashing him until he caused a shockwave making my health hit the yellow as I quickly popped a potion and noticed that Tecchi lost his spear as the boss covered his chest with his four arms.Well that makes it obvious now.I pulled out a talisman and did a quick prayer as the sky turned dark for a second before pelting the boss with a barrage of lightning bolts.The boss kept trying to swat the bolts away revealing a shiny jewel on his chest.
