~(Y/n)'s P.O.V~

I'm tripping out. She keeps injecting me but I don't know why. What exactly does she want? Karma? Revenge?

Why am I involved if this is business between then two? Am I just bait?

I keep falling in and out.

"That's about it for you," She says, cleaning off her hands. "Now we wait so what would you like to talk about?"

"Fuuck... youu" I say. It comes out so slurred. Okuda sits on a counter and looks straight at me.

"Wanna know what we did on this counter?" She whispers. "And on that counter behind you? Or do you want to know how hard he kissed me?"

I start to laugh but it comes out very slurred.

"It's n-not... a brag to-to be an option," I laugh. "Y-You're ju-just that easy."

Okuda glares at me and grabs a beaker. She throws it and it barely misses me.

"Shut up!" She yells. "He loves me!"

- Karma's P.O.V-

"Can I hold it?" Nagisa asks. I hand it to him and he examines it. "They're always so different than the guns from... school."

"Yeah," I comment. "We're almost there."

"Do you think we should have called the others?" Nagisa asks.

"No, they're all busy and moving up in their life," I sigh, pulling into the parking lot of the research lab. "And it seems that Okuda is stuck and trying to drag us in with her."

Nagisa agrees and I park and immediately get out.

We enter the building through a window since it's locked all around. I motion for Nagisa to go up the stairs and I notice all the cameras are face the other way. Was this for her benefit so she won't get caught?

We go up and almost get to the fourth floor. I hear struggling and voices. Nagisa does too as we both look at each other so we speed up to the room. My hand moves to the knob but it doesn't turn. It's locked. We look through the window to see Okuda pinned down by (Y/n), holding a needle so close to her.

"It's locked!" I tell Nagisa. He grabs my gun from me.

"Get back!" He yells. I practically jump back as he fires shots into the door until we can open it. I kick it down and run in with Nagisa. She still has Okuda pinned down.

"You guys... a-are so fucking slow" (Y/n) says.

"Karma you came!" Okuda laughs. Nagisa holds her down while I help (Y/n) up off of her. "I knew you would!"

I ignore her and sit (Y/n) on a chair so I can help Nagisa tie her up. Okuda rambles in about something but I've tuned her out. Something about soulmates and destiny. We drag her to a leg of a metal table and tie her there. By now Okuda is yelling and screaming at me.

"I'm sure someone will find her" I say.

"How are you sure?" Nagisa asks.

"Because I do," I say. "Now lets go."

"Wait" Nagisa aims at the laptop and shoots it a couple times.

"You're getting too comfortable with that" I say as I take it from him. I carry (Y/n) in my back as we go back the way we came.

"Karma... what if someone doesn't come and find her?" He asks.

"I called the police about a lunatic in the research lab that's restrained" I say. We can still hear her screaming. (Y/n) is fading in and out so I hurry to get her to a hospital.

She was admitted for three days. Some classmates came but others couldn't and instead sent flowers and small gifts. (Y/n) needed a few stitches and because she was injected with things, the doctors wanted to make sure nothing will happen and that her body was fine. They just told me she was injected with sedatives but not very strong ones since (Y/n) was still conscious the whole time she was with Okuda.

(Y/n) mostly sleeps too. I brought her home and kept her in bed.

"Karma, I'm fine now," She says. "Let me get up."

"No, you need rest," I say. She chuckles and stays down. "Do you need anything? Water?"

"Sure" She says. I get up and go to the kitchen. I grab a cold water bottle from the fridge. I walk back to an empty room. What the hell?!

I hear a door close and I go back to the hallway to see the bathroom lights on.

"I told you to rest" I shout to the door.

"I'm fine! Let me pee in peace!" (Y/n) shouts back. I groan and run my hand through my hair. This girl...

~(Y/n)'s P.O.V~

Karma became my nurse after I was discharged. I'm alright except for all the holes poked in me. Okuda was caught up and Karma and Nagisa took care of it for me along with a few photos of my injuries and recorded statements.

I'm grateful for them and Karma is really doing the most he can to stick me to the bed but I'm fine now. My stitches are almost done healing too. I didn't even go to pee, I just wanted to get on my feet and stretch them out.

I walk out and Karma is right there with his arms crossed and a bothered expression.

"What?" I chuckle.

"Go rest" Karma says. I wave him off and try to walk past him but he blocks my way.

"Karma!" I whine. "I'm fine now!"

He doesn't say anything so I smile and wrap my arms around him. I feel his chin rest on my shoulder and his arms slowly hug me back.

"I'm here and I'm fine," I whisper. "It's okay."

He hugs me tighter and I hear him take a deep breath before exhaling. This makes me smile even more.

"I know this is a bad time but I had something scheduled for tomorrow for us," Karma says. "And before you ask, it's a surprise and a really fancy place."

"Oh? For what?" I chuckle. "What are you planning?"

"I said it's a surprise" Karma says. We pull away a little bit and I look at him confused. He stays quiet so I roll my eyes.

"Fine! Fine!" I laugh. "I'll see what I have."

The rest of the way was calming. Nagisa came by to hang out with us and it seemed like things between him and Karma are fine. Nagisa kept apologizing to me since he felt it was his fault but after a few explanations, he knew I didn't blame him for anything. Although, My mind won't get rid of Karma's surprise though. Did he already have this planned? Is it for an anniversary? We don't really get into that kind of stuff since we were on and off.

I'm just glad it's all quiet and calm now. It's been a real shit show but I have a feeling in my gut that the storm is over and the sun is about to shine.
