Agent 34 came back from the kitchen with three cups of coffee. She put them in front of us and I gave her a thankful smile.

"So, Venus. How have you been doing since we saw each other the last time?" He leaned back and took a sip of his cup.

Venus? I wondered what her real name was.

"What are you doing here and who is that?" She pointed suspiciously at me.

Hudson just laughed and viewed her amused.

Venus was all dressed up and probably on her way to somewhere important. And now we were sitting here and stopping her from going out.

"We need a place to stay over night and this is Pandora Momsen" he introduced me.

I wanted to shake her hand but she just smiled at me and I awkwardly tried to conceal that I was just about to raise my hand.

She put a strand of her golden hair behind her ear "Your new job?"

Hudson scratched the back of his head "something like that."

They talked about a lot of things I didn't understand because fifty percent of the things they said contained code words.

They mentioned something called "Operation bullock" and two other agents called London and Georgia. Apparently that's the last "job" they worked on together.

I would never admit it but I was kind of jealous. Both of them sat there together, laughed, made jokes, they have history. Me, I was just third wheeling.

"I don't know if that's a problem but I only have one guest room with one bed" she stated.

Hudson shook his head and put his cup down.

"It's okay."

Yeah but only if you're sleeping on the couch.

Venus showed me the guest room and the bathroom. They wanted to catch up on some stuff so I decided to go to bed.

Sitting in the car all day and doing nothing was exhausting.

I woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat. I couldn't remember what I dreamt but according to my wet pillow I cried.

There was no trace of Hudson and I heard voices coming from the living room.

As I sneaked out the voices became clearer. Hudson and Venus were having an argument.

"They're going to kill you" she hissed.

I wanted to go out but I decided not to. Maybe I could get some information if I just listened.

Hudson sighed "I know. But I couldn't double-cross her again. And I especially couldn't kidnap her."

I realized I could see Venus' reflection in the TV. She poured some wine in her glass.

"So you lied to her? Have you any idea what happens when Abraham finds out? They will order all 57 to kill you!" She sounded truly worried.

Hudson took a sip of his glass "You would have done the same."

She glared at him "No I would not! Because I am a professional and I'm doing my job. I'm not breaking the rules and I'm not crushing on my protégée!"

What? Why would she think that?

Hudson laughed at her and waved it off.

"I'm not crushing on her. She's interesting but nothing more" he explained.

Shivers went down my spine when he said that.

Nothing more.

Venus leaned closer to him and locked her eyes with his.

My heart stopped for a second but they only hugged.

"Did you hear from Blue?" He asked as he let go of her.

She tossed off her entire glass at once.

"Nope. He won't call" her voice was cracking.

I turned to the side and leaned against the cold wall. The wall across me had a brown checkered wallpaper.

"Just Forget him" he suggested.

Venus sighed and threw something to the ground.

"I know. I know" she babbled.

They stayed in silence for a few minutes. I already thought they fell asleep but then Venus broke the silence.

"Will you tell her that her parents think you guys are on your way to NewOrleans?"

I took a deep breath in.

My parents don't know I'm here, nobody does. He said they were okay with it. He lied to me. Again.

I looked over to see the door. Without thinking further I got up and ran out.

Someone pulled me back by the belt loop of my jeans. He pinned me to the wall and stared at me.

So many feelings covered his face. Anger, fear, sadness and so much more.

"What are you doing?" He held my chin up so I had to look at him.

I fought my tears "You lied to me."

I tried to get away but he slid his finger through my belt loop again and pulled me back.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you but you refused to go to NewOrleans and I just wanted to help you" he sounded desperate and truly sorry.

"You lied to me" I repeated madly.

He sighed and went his hand through his hair.

"Listen, I only lied to protect you and besides that I swear I didn't lie about anything else" he had a begging tone.

I was hurt. People keep lying to me and expect me to just forgive them right away.

"But besides that you didn't even say much!" I yelled.

I didn't care anymore about my appearance. I cried and sobbed.

"I'm so sorry" he whispered weakly.
