Hudson's POV:

Pandora seesawed on her feet as she waited for a guy named Bill who apparently knew her parents.

After we arrived in NewOrleans we hadn't been out for half an hour when a tall mid aged woman with died red hair approached us. Turns out they have cameras all over NewOrleans. They found out we were there the minute our car drove in the city.

She had lead us to a big old building. On the outside it looked like it was about to cave in any second but after we walked through a tight tunnel under the building the modest technology greeted us. It reminded me of the headquarters of the NSJP in LA.

A man called her to help him so she left us waiting here until Bill arrived. Pandora's nervous movements made me jittery as well. There was no reason to be nervous and yet she couldn't stand still.

After a few minutes two men walked up to us. One of them had blond-grey hair and a corpulent body, while the other one looked like he was about my age. He had dark blond hair and broad shoulders. They gestured us to follow them into a small office.

"So, you are Kaden's daughter. You look just like her. Except for the look on your face. Your father had that, too" the older man explained as he leaned against the black desk. "Always so serious."

"Were you close to them?" Her voice was shaking and she had this unusual spark in her eyes.

"No. But unfortunately everyone who was is dead by now. I always did the computer stuff" he crossed his arms in front of his chest and tilted his head smiling at her.

"Oh" was the only thing she could say.

The disappointment in her voice was clearly audible. Pandora was hoping to find out more about her parents past and now this turned out to be a dead end.

"I am sorry that I can't give you many information about your parents but you should know that they didn't change into completely different person over night. I visited your family once when you were four and they were still the same. You got to know the same Tobias and Kaden as I."

She nodded lightly as she stared blankly at her hands. As if struck by lightning she suddenly shook her head quickly and looked up to the man and smiled "That's great. I... I didn't even ask for your name. I am sorry."

"It's okay. My name is Billard Gerald but everyone calls me Bill. That's my son Denis."

"Hi" she waved at Denis and he nodded absently.

There was a weird tension in the air but I tried to ignore it by listening to Bill "You know, I did your mother's passport. Oh, and your fathers too."

"I thought my dad didn't change his name" she said confused.

When thinking about that Tobias decision to not change his name was pretty dumb. Kiran knew his name. I wonder why he didn't find them earlier.

"No, I was talking about your father, Ludwig Jacobs. He was pretty messy and had a strong temper but a good soul" Bill's phone rang but he quickly declined the call and turned back to Pandora.

"You can't tell me anything else about my parents? Tobias and Kaden?" She asked with a strenuous undertone "I don't want to seem ungrateful. Thank you for giving me some of your precious time. I just thought you knew more" she sounded really desperate making me want to hug and comfort her but I believe that is not what she would want now.

Bill shook his head "I am sorry".

"It's not your fault."

"It might be better though. You knew your parents the way you did. Why wanting to change that? Don't ruin the picture of them by trying to add more puzzles to it" he explained as he played with the golden wedding ring on his finger.

"Thank you very much for your time, Bill" Pandora said and got up.

She didn't want to stay in there so I decided to take her out to distract her from her dejection.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I pulled the chair for her so she could sit down.

She glared at me "Stupid question. No, I am not okay."

I opened my mouth wanting to ask her if I could do something to help her but she cut me off by crashing her lips to mine. I was pretty sure that was a code for "I don't want to talk about it" so we just kissed.
