And so the next day.

"Hurry up, Mina! The signal's about to change."

"O-Okay."

We rush through the next sidewalk before the lights changed to green.

"Whew...That was tiring~"

"We're going to have a fun filled day today!"

At her request, we have come out on our first date in a long time.

(I am happy of course, but...)

"Are you sure we should be out on a date today? You're in the homestretch before the exam..."

"Which is why I'm out having fun now!"

"I hadn't made any time for the two of us at all either..."

"So I want to make up for that today!"

(that's true...if we miss this chance who knows when we might get another one...)

And most of all, she has been looking forward to this.

"All right. We're going to have tons of fun today."

"Yeah!"

And so...

We first pay a visit to the sweets shop we missed going to last time.

"You can have whatever you like. It's my treat today."

"Really?!"

"Then I want everything on the menu from top to bottom."

"Eh?!"

"Don't worry Mina, I'll share some of it with you."

"That's not exactly what I'm worrying about..."

Today may just be the day my wallet (or what's inside) becomes extinct.

"But what the heck, we haven't had a date in ages, so let's splurge!"

"Oh! You're so magnanimal."

"You meant magnanimous."

"Aahahaha, so I did~|

"Honestly. Hahahaha..."

"Hehehe, All right, I've been looking forward to these sweets. Let's eat!"

"I know you are, you're drooling."

"I do not!"

And after that.

With full stomachs we arrive at the Karaoke

"I think this is our first time going to karaoke together."

"It is?" she replied.

"Let's sing a duet."

"Alright, input something then. Anything's good." I said as I browse on the menu to put on our order

Knowing her I bet she's going to be hungry again even though we just ate.

She holds the mic out to me with a big grin on her face.

"Hold this mic with me?"

"Eh? You want to use the same mic?" I wondered.

"Of course. It's a duet after all."

(I'm pretty sure that's not how a duet works...)

If we use the same mic she's going to be too close to me.

(Okay, she really, really is close now her face is right beside mine!)

"Hm? This is a bit close..."

"Y-yeah..."

"Just how I like it." She said with glee.

"Are you feeling shy, Mina?"

"N-no..not really..."

"Hehehehe, make sure you sing properly, kay?"

"I-I don't know about singing but I'll give it an old gentleman try,"

But when the song starts...

"I don't know this song..."

"Mina, this is an opera song isn't it?"

"Why are you asking me, you're the one who punch in these numbers."

"Ahahaha, never mind, on to the next song then."

The next song was a familiar beat.

"Do you know this song Miyoko?"

"Nope, but we're gonna wing it!"

"Eh?!"

"Here we go...and a one and a two and a..."

Our voices are hoarse by the end.

But she keeps going, as if to make up for all the good times she has missed out on lately.

(It's a good thing I'm the only one who can hear her tone deft voice..)

(I guess I don't' mind a date like this once in a while.)

And so...

We manage to kill 5 hours singing before leaving the karaoke place.

"That was a great round of karaoke!"

"Oh, hey...Mina, are you tired?"

(Who wouldn't be aftwer singing for 5 hours straight?!)

"No, I'm fine. I had a lot of fun too."

"You did? That's good!"

Just then...

She seems to have had a sudden thought and looks away.

"Hey, Mina..."

"What is it?"

"Um..."

"Hm..?"

"Never mind, it's nothing."

She looks as if we wants to say something, but then smiles once more.

(What was that about?)

I am still curious, but she smiles as if she never said anything to begin with.

She then shouts in excitement.

"We're almost out of time! Let's head to our final spot!"

"Yeah, alright."

"Ehehehe, I've thought of the perfect place to end our date."

"Where?"

"I was thinking..."

"A love hotel?"

"Oh..."

I took a minute before it finally registered.

"A WHAT?!"

"Ahahahahaha the look on your face, it's priceless."

"I'm just kidding, Mina."

"Oh."

(Jesus! She's going to give me a heart attack.)

"The beach!"

"The beach?!"

"Let's go to the beach." She smiled contently.
