HOORIYA IMAM'S P.O.V

“What About you Haidar? Studies ke baad tumhare kya plans hai? What will you do after studies?” Haidar remained silent, I waited for him to reply but he kept staring out.

“Dad to chahte hain ki ye hamara buissness hi join kare lekin iske shayad kuch aur hi plans hai. Dad wants him to join our business but I think he has other plans.” Hammad replied instead of Haidar.

Ignoring their further conversation I leaned a little towards Haidar. “kya hua tujhe? What's wrong with you?" I whispered in his ear. He was certainly upset about something. He shook his head, “Batao? Tell me?”

“Main bas Shehriyar Hadi ke peele shoes ke baare mein soch raha tha. Dekh. I was just thinking about Shehriyar Hadi's yellow colored shoes. Take a Look. ” I peeked at his shoes. "Cool na?”  He scoffed. "Koi class hi nahi hai. Seriously he has no class.” He waited for my answer, observed me, searching my eyes.

“Lekin suit kar rahein hain usey, tumhari tarha nahi. Tu to jo pehnta hai us mein joker hi lagta hai. But they're suiting him. Unlike you. Whatever you wore you look joker.“ He forced a smile on his face. What's wrong with him? He was becoming boring day by day, I was expecting a sarcastic comeback but he stayed silent.

“Tum dono kya baatein kar rahe ho itni der se mere paas hash pash awaaz aa rahi hai. Mehfil mein kaana phusi karna is bad maaners. What are you two talking about? Like hash-pash hash-pash. Whispering in ears in congregation is bad manners." His friend, named Aiby I guessed inquired.

"Kuch nahi bas... Hooriya Mujhe bata rahi thi ki usko Sherry bhai ke shows kitne pasand aaye.
Nothing…actually Hooriya was telling me that how much she liked Sherry bhai's yellow shoes.”

Shit. Haidar, you're gonna die.

“Jhoote maine kab kaha? Liar. When did I say?” Please Allah pak let me die. This is so embarrassing for me to handle.

“Thank-you Hooriya.” Shehriyar Hadi spoke and I glared at Haidar, he gave me a teasing look.

“Hooriya mere shoes kaise lag rahein hain? How about my shoes?” Aiby Putted up his one foot by the help of his hand. “Ye bhi Sherry ke pasand ke hain. It is Sherry's choice as well.” Everyone Laughed And I can only more embarrassed by his question.

Haidar couldn't stop laughing, seeing me embarrassed like this. I pinched on his thigh. “Oww.”

“kya hua? What happened?” Aiby and Hammad asked.

“Kuch nahi. Nothing.” still Chuckling, he said.

“By the way Hooriya, Sherry ne mujhe bataya ke tum pehle iski company mein job karti thi to tumne resign kyu kar diya? Sherry told me that you used to work in his company? Why did you resigned?”

I shut my eyes tightly. why everyone have to ask this question? Why did I quit my job? It's my choice dumb. I can easily lie in these situations but I don't know that Shehriyar Hadi told his friend about that tiny incident with Aahil sir or not and if he knew then I was going to make myself a fool again by lying on his face or, perhaps I didn't want Shehriyar Hadi to think that I am a liar.

“Mujhe lagta hai tumhara issey koi lena dena nahi hai ke usne resign kyu kiya. I think that's none of your business why she quitted.” For the first time Shehriyar Hadi looked away from the road, and give a pointed look at his friend. Our eyes met through the mirror, and I quickly looked away.

Shehriyar Hadi pullover at the outside of my building, Hammad told them to drop them here too. They can go by themselves from here because their house is not far from my house and cab's can easily be found.
