I was dreaming. I knew I was dreaming because before this I was hugging my pillow eating the most delightful chocolate ice cream imaginable, now I was alone. No pillow, no chocolate just me in a small confined dark room. Although I knew this was a dream, my body didn't. I sweated through my black shirt, my senses were wide awake. I could hear water dripping from a nearby leak in the ceiling, I could smell the rustiness that hung in the air it stung my nose. I could taste that same rustiness. I tried lifting my hand to my bleeding mouth but it was restrained behind me just like my other hand. I had been tied to a chair.

I started to panic, everything felt too real. "Help!" I called out. My lungs burnt, like I had been held under water this whole time.

This is a dream. This is a dream. Then why does everything feel real?

The door a few inches away from me creaked open, the light that gained access to the room blinded me and I automatically shut my eyes.

"Arabella?" The voice sent a frightening shiver down my spine.

My lips trembled but I forced words to leave my mouth, "Who are you?" I asked. My voice wavered but I held my strong tone.

"You don't recognize your own father?" He laughed, it sent goosebumps along my arms.
