Ch.19: New Members and adopted son

Normal POV
After a long night of partying with her brothers and friends from other guilds. A certain blonde Mage woke up in her home around 10 am in the morning. Slowly getting out of bed and allowing her eyes to adjust to the bright morning light she stood up to stretch. Giving out a small yawn she looked down to realize that she's still in the same clothes she wore yesterday. Heading to the bathroom she took a quick shower and changed into fresh clothing before walking out heading towards the living room. Both of her brothers were still passed out so she decided to make everyone breakfast. She finished up a few minutes later knowing that the smell of food will wake them up and have them coming in here soon. She was right because not even 5 minutes had passed before she saw 2 figures slowly dragging themselves down the hall toward her. Stifling a giggle she met them half way handing them their plates as she called "Good morning sleepy heads." In response she got multiple yawns with a small murmur saying "Dang little sis/Lucy with this much bright energy in the morning you'll blind someone before they even know what happened." Turns out the brothers were thinking the same thing and overlapped each other making Lucy giggle even more. "All right guys after breakfast you need to get ready so we can head to the guild." Lucy called as she walked away from them to clean up in the kitchen.

At the guild~~
Lucy unlocked them before kicking the doors of the entrance open. She and her brothers walked in Sebastian splitting off to sit at a table while Laxus heading towards the bar to get a drink. Lucy made her way to the middle of the guild and spun around a few times in excitement for the future that was to come. Her brothers watched her with small smiles on their faces as many emotions coursed through the 3 siblings all at once. Lucy noticed their gazes on her so she stopped as she looked them in the eye with a smile that looked to be even more radiant than usual. Sebastian and Laxus didn't say anything they just stared at her. They were proud of her and of what she's done for herself and others. Their chest filled with pride and love for Lucy as only one thought crossed their minds. "She's not just a guild master who has always been a kind young woman. She is the true Celestial Princess that will one day make a great ruler of her kingdom." After a moment Lucy snapped them out of their trance as she spoke up "Hey guys you remember the agreement we had of how we will run the guild right?" Laxus and Sebastian nodded their heads and Lucy continued saying "What if we run it similar to fairy tail like we agreed but take on an image similar to Sabertooth? Like how on the outside they give off the ruthless and merciless type when their actually really kind and cheerful. That way we won't have any problems with other guilds trying to take over and call us weak." Lucy told them as she held a deep thoughtful expression. Sebastian spoke up next in agreement saying "That's not a bad idea having a fearful reputation could be helpful to the townspeople as well." Laxus only nodded in agreement as Lucy clapped her hands putting on a serious but happy expression as she said in a loud voice "Then we got a lot of work ahead of us!"

6 months later~~~
By now Lucy, Laxus and Sebastian have gone on numerous jobs getting rid of monsters, helping people in need and many other things. Lucy had gotten quite experienced in switching character really quickly at home, in the guild and around the townspeople she was her usual cheerful self. However on the job she was the complete opposite wearing dark combat clothing and shoes with a cloak and scarf to mask her appearance. She not only used magic on jobs but she also carried a decent sized scythe around. Instead of her usual attitude her eyes and expression remained blank and any time she spoke to anyone during work her voice was emotionless and as cold as ice. Through their efforts the guild rose up the ranks with a notorious reputation in other towns. Even those from the other guilds that knew Lucy was beginning to believe the rumors after all not everything was false. Only the magic council and the people of Oak town didn't fear them though as requested by Lucy the people pretended to be while the council only spread the news of this ruthless guild and kept Lucy's identity as the leader unknown. One day the doors burst open Sebastian and Laxus stood up from their seats getting into position in case it was an enemy. Meanwhile Lucy who was upstairs in her office quickly threw on her cloak, and scarf as she grabbed her scythe. Walking out of her office she stopped at the railing of the 2nd floor looking over at those who stood at the entrance of the guild. A voice spoke breaking the tension "You can calm down theses are just new recruits for your guild." One of those frog servant people said as they walked inside explaining how the magic council had them brought here because they weren't sure what guild to join. After the magic council servant left Lucy threw herself over the railing landing perfectly on the 1st floor without injury. Casting each one of them a glance her eyes stopped on what appeared to be a 24 year old woman. Her appearance was wavy black hair that came down to her elbow with asymmetrical bangs, and green eyes. "Do you wish to say something?" Lucy asked in a cold detached voice as she was already in character. "Yes actually if I may. I was just wondering if your the head of this guild that everyone has been raging about." The woman responded in a respectful manner. Lucy then asked her in a calm but joking tone "Yes I am did I disappoint you?" The woman gave a light giggle "With all the rumors circulated around you I didn't expect you to have a sense of humor. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Roxanne, my magic power is a healer and I'm the caretaker and oldest of my siblings." At the mention of her siblings she gestured for a young boy around 16 years old and a young girl that was probably around 14 years old to step up beside her. After a minute the the young boy introduced himself as Liam who has the power of Arc of Embodiment with an appearance of chocolate brown hair that's side swept with short sides, and an eye color of blue. Next one was the youngest of the 3 a young girl named Blair with the power of illusion magic. She had bark mahogany hair that was tied up in a messy bun with matching brown eyes. After that 2 girls known as the Phoenix Twins introduced themselves and they were the complete opposite of one another. Both are 14 years old, one introduced herself as Sephora who has the abilities of a fire Phoenix. She has crimson hair that fades into a light orange at the bottom, she keeps her hair in a long mid waist pony tail, and her eye color is similar to her hair. The other twin is Aviana who has the abilities of a water Phoenix. Her hair is a dark blue at the top but as it runs down it fades to a light blue then white at the tips, she lets her hair down so it's straight and flowing down her back while bangs are swept to the right side of her face and her eye color is similar to her hair. The only person left was a young 8 year old boy who at first wouldn't say anything but eventually he introduced himself in a quiet voice as Arashi who has the abilities of a Thunderbird. His appearance was that of messy caramel brown hair with amber eyes. Afterwards Lucy, Laxus and Sebastian introduced themselves as well, and explained the rules of the guild. "Hey would it be ok if we could see your face?" The twin known as Sephora asked Lucy in curiosity as her sister Aviana just huffed thinking of how inconsiderate that was. Lucy turned around looking down a bit to meet the young fire Mage in the eye as she answered "Alright but you must keep my identity a secret from the others who wish know it. Also do me a favor and do not freak out because this will definitely be a surprise understand?" Everyone except her brothers nodded their heads. Lucy pulled her scarf any slowly with a small but knowing smile on her face before casting any the rest of her disguise revealing her golden blonde hair, in a blue t-shirt, black shorts and combat boots with her whip and her celestial key holder on her belt. Everyone except her brothers and the little boy known as Arashi jaw dropped at her appearance. Sebastian and Laxus just smiled at the scene, while Lucy fell over laughing, and Arashi just looked around confused before quietly asking "Um... Why is everyone so shocked? What's the big deal?" Lucy stopped laughing and approached the young boy bending down to his level gently resting a hand on his head as she smiled and answered his questions. "Their just shocked to see me of all people to be running this guild because of the reputation I had before this that's all." "Then if I may ask who are you?" Arashi looked at her with his amber eyes shining curiously. Before Lucy could answer Sephora's voice boomed out beating her to it. "Are you kidding me?! This is Lucy Heartfilia! One of the mages that participated in last year's magic games as a member of Fairy tail! She's also known as one of the very few and rare celestial wizards!" Arashi flinched at the sudden loud voice and held his head on the verge of tears. Lucy gently picked him up and held him as she stroked his back to calm him down. "You need to calm down Sephora before you scare the kid to death." Sephora's sister Aviana scolded as she glared at her sister from the corner of her eye. "Sorry." Sephora looked down and bowed in apology. Lucy told Sephora to raise her head then excused herself went upstairs to her office still carrying Arashi in her arms. Closing the door behind her she gently set Arashi down in a chair and kneeled in front of him trying to look at his face as she asked in a gentle voice. "Arashi could you look at me? I want to ask you something would that be ok?" Slowly putting his hands down he looked at her through teary eyes as he nodded his head. "Ok I'm sorry because I know it's personal but I need to know. Why did you come here alone? Where are your parents?" At first no answer only the noise of the young boy sobs but after a moment "They... abandoned me.. *sobs* because the.. village we lived in.. *sobs* found out.. about me and my ability... everyone called me a monster because I'm different from most people." Arashi stopped crying staring down at his lap with his hands squeezing his knees. Lucy felt a pang of grief and sadness in her heart this young boy had been through the same situation as Lucy's own when she was younger only his was on a much greater scale. She pulled Arashi into a tight hug as she couldn't help but cry... Cry for him... About 10 minutes passed before both of them had finally calmed down as Lucy pulled back gently wiping away any remaining tears from both her eyes and his. "Hey Arashi what if I became your new mom? Your gonna need someone to take of you and teach you new things." Lucy looked at him and smiled as she had a hand gently rested on his shoulder.Arashi just stared at her with widened eyes shocked that anyone would be willing to take him in when she knew he wasn't even a human or a mage. Lucy noticed the look on his face so she smiled at him reassuringly and spoke calmly. "Don't worry Arashi just because your different doesn't mean you deserve any less love than any normal kid. If anything be glad your not normal like me your a rare type of person might as well be proud of it. Ok?" The young boy leapt into Lucy's chest for the first time in his life he was experiencing pure joy. With a small laugh Lucy stood up with the boy in her arms and stepped out of her office heading down stairs. She smiled at Arashi one last time before setting him down and telling him to go see if the twins would play with him while she talked to her brothers. "Sebastian! Laxus! I need you!" She cheerfully called out to them and both looked her way before approaching. "What's up?" Sebastian asked as both of them gave her suspicious looks thinking it probably has something to do with Arashi. "Well do you guys mind if I adopt Arashi?" Laxus spit out his drink out his drink while Sebastian stared at her before both of them overlapped "Nani!?" Everyone in the guild looked to see what the commotion was as Lucy quickly covered their mouths as she glanced over to Arashi to see him stifle a laugh. "At least let me explain you loud mouth idiots." She whispered in a chilling voice while glaring at them. After explaining the bit of Arashi's past that he had told her the brothers agreed to her adopting the young Thunderbird that's currently in human form.
