With the hurricane beginning to roll in, Luna made us wait at our gate. To pass the time, we decided to draw. What neither of us realized is that the markers had begun to bleed through the paper onto the brown leather chair we were using as a table.
"Oh." Is all Charlie can squeak out.
I move towards her to see the mess she made, and gasp a little.
    "Mm... Mommy?" Charlie asks quietly.
"Yes, sweetie?" Luna replies looking up from her book, her readers sitting on the edge of her nose.
"Uh, Mama, I made a mess." Charlie whispers as Luna walks over.
"Was it an accident?" Luna asks sternly.
Charlie nods her head vigorously, and I join in for emphasis.
"We'll just replace it. No worries." Interjects a deep voice.
I turn around to look him in the eyes.
"DADDY!" I scream, running into his arms.
He picks me up, pulling me close against him.
Charlie pulls on his shirt. "Mr. David?"
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" He replies worriedly.
    "There's the mean lady."
"The mean lady?" Daddy asks.
"It's nothing, Daddy, I promise."
"Mr. David, that lady was really really mean to Grace on the plane." Charlie snitches.
"Well, then this needs to be handled accordingly."
Hiking me up onto his hip, he walks over to her as she walks from the restroom.
"Excuse me?" Daddy says, tapping Jennifer on the back.
"Listen bud, I'm try-" Jennifer looks at me in disbelief.
"Such a cute little girl, Mr. Alden." She says, trying to save face.
"I don't know where you come from sweetheart, but you better pack your shit and leave. I can't have you being rude to all of these people here who expect good service and welcome arms. You're done. You'll get your final paycheck in two weeks." Daddy spits.
