It was barely see through, an energy barrier cut off center of the city from the outskirts of it, it wasn't hard to spot, but what was hard to spot was vulnerabilities in it. Outside of the barrier was recruits, officers as well, and coming in on horseback was the commander.  Ian turned around, a few feet away was Quentin trying to calm down a hysterical Cassandra. Sky gets off his horse, walking over to Ian.

"Any new developments? Has Jason shown up?" Sky asked. Ian shakes his head.

"No, there are no weak points and Jason hasn't shown up anywhere, recruits are stationed all around the barrier just in case Jason is spotted," Ian said. Sky nodded, crossing his arms.

"What about the citizens?" He asked.

"The ones who were outside the barrier are being taken to the Sky Army, the land bridge is too unstable to trust it with this," Ian said. Sky nods again, agreeing.

"No argument there, I'm just waiting for the day it collapses. Where's Jerome?" Sky asked.

"With recruits around the perimeter of the barrier--" Cassandra grabs Sky's arm, looking upset. Sky looked at her.

"Sky! This isn't Seto's fault, he wouldn't do this consciously and--" Sky gives her a little smile.

"Cassandra, I know. Calm down, okay? You are our only wizard right now, try to think of a way to break the barrier so we can get in there. The faster we can get in, the better." Sky said. Cassandra nods, letting go of his arm, she looked at the barrier, thinking. Cassandra zones the two out as they talk, Quentin looks the three, until there is a tap on his shoulder, he turns around. A recruit behind him.

"There's a man who wants to speak with General Ian." The recruit said. Quentin shakes his head.

"No, he has to be taken to the base like the rest. He can talk to Ian after." Quentin said. The recruit nodded. Quentin looked past the recruit, at the man, his eyes widen a bit, it was a family, the man talking to the recruits. Quentin stepped back, turning on his heels, he went over to Ian. "Sky, can I?" Sky nodded and went to help Cassandra. Ian looks at Quentin.

"What is it?" He asked. Quentin pointed over at the family, Ian looked, his eyes widen and he looks at Quentin. "What is he doing here?" Quentin could see the recruit coming back over, Ian shakes his head. "No..no! I'm not talking to him, get rid of him for me. Get rid of him now!" Quentin puts his hands up to Ian.

"Okay, relax, Ian. Relax." He said. The recruit came up to them, stopping.

"He--" Quentin looked at the recruit.

"Alright, tell him to wait a second." He said. The recruit nodded and walked back to them. "He's not gonna stop till you talk to him--"

"I know," Ian said. Quentin looked back at Ian. Ian shakes his head before he looks back over at the family. "I don't care what he offers, I'm not letting him back into my life." Quentin nods, agreeing.

"And I agree, but he is just trying to make up for his mistakes, he is your father after a--" Ian looked at Quentin, scoffing.
