Hannah's P.O.V.

I was sitting by the island trying to build up the courage to text Cara, but I just couldn't.  I could feel my heart drop when she ran away from me. I felt so stupid. I shouldn't have gotten that close to Cara in the elevator. I must have scared her and now she was going to avoid me again. I don't know why I kept pushing the limits with Cara. I should have known better than to invade her personal space.

I let out a sigh. This day has just been getting worse for me. Not only did I scare away my roommate, but my sister was in New York City and she wanted to see me. She was the only one in my family that supported me when I came out and I loved her for that, but I always felt like we were in a competition when we were together. She would be the one that everyone adored whether it was in school or family reunions. She also had a habit of stealing my crushes and boyfriends back when I was in the closet. I don't think I would want her to meet Cara even though I don't believe anything would happen between them. Cara didn't like people and my sister is straight.

I was debating whether I should tell Amanda about the apartment or if I should tell her to meet me somewhere else when I heard the door open.  I quickly hopped off the stool and headed toward the door. Cara was taking her shoes off and she held two Victoria Secret shopping bags in one hand.

"Hi, Cara," I said awkwardly. I slightly cringed at my voice. I felt like I was a  teenager again.

Cara looked up at me in shock. Her eyes glanced at my shoulders for a brief moment before looking away. I could feel a tiny smirk fighting its way toward my lips.  I specifically wore a burgundy colored off the shoulder top because Cara's favorite color was burgundy and she admitted that she liked shoulders and collarbones. They were one of the few things that she noticed about a person.

"Uh, Hi." Cara waved back at me before she glanced at one of the bags she was holding. "Here I got you something." She handed me one of the bags.

"Lingerie?" I took the bag and I couldn't help but smirk.  Her face turned so pink at my question and her eyes widened in horror.

"No!"  Cara quickly shook her head.

I glanced in the bag and lifted a black bra out with my pinky. "This is interesting."

Cara let out a squeak as she took the bra from my grasp and flung it across the room like a grenade.  "That's not for you," She mumbled. She handed me the other bag while I gave her back mine.

I let out a small chuckle as I took out a bunch of t-shirts from the bag. I looked at the t-shirts in confusion.

"I thought...you might need... I mean like some." She turned even redder.

"Okay?" There was about seven pair of t-shirts in the bag.  "Thank you?"

"Yeah, one for every day," Cara mumbled.

"You want me to wear t-shirts every day?"

Cara looked like a deer in headlights as she waved her hands in the air. "No...it's uhh..." She scratched the back of her neck. "I have to sleep."

She tried to make a beeline toward her room, but I stepped in front of her. She almost ran right into my chest.

"I'm just teasing you," I said.

Cara nodded, but she kept her eyes away from me.

"Thank you for the shirts, although I wouldn't mind lingerie," I teased.

Cara looked down at her feet. "Are you trying to kill me?" She mumbled.

I felt the urge to pull her into a hug, but I refrained myself.  "You look so cute when you're embarrassed."
