Woo! Second chapter. it's short but Enjoy!
CHAPTER 2.
Slam!
Another shot glass hits the bar. I swirl around on the bar stool, completing a 360. I reach for my shot glass before remembering I had just finished it. I begin to giggle to myself and signal for the bartender.
"Hey! Hey you!" I point my forefinger at the bartender. He looks cautiously at me but still moves forward. "I haven't got all night you know!" I slur at him.
"I think you've had enough, sweetheart," he says close to my face. I lean away from him and crinkle my nose.
"Your breath stinks," I comment loudly. I see his cheeks go slightly pink and I smile, wiggling my eyebrows at him.
"Thank's, love." He's still standing in front of me on the opposite side of the bar. He looks about 50, with reseeding grey hair and glasses.
"I have my mints somewhere," I say, fumbling around in my bag in a mad search for my breath mints.
"Sweetheart, it's fine." He chuckles and moves over slightly to serve another customer.
"But I know they're here somewhere!" I yell furiously at my handbag. Bree comes over and sits next to me, she looks slightly tipsy but thankfully seems to be holding herself together.
"What's up babe?" She asks, taking my hands out of my handbag to hold them in hers.
"I'm trying to find my goddamn breath mints!" I struggle to get my hands out of her hold.
"Why?" She releases my hands.
"Cause the bartender's breath smells like shit," I state, louder than anticipated. I hear Bree stifle a laugh as the bartender stalks over to me.
"That's it! Look lady, if you aren't going to leave I'll call the cops!" He looks at me furiously, slightly red in his cheeks.
I squint and pulls my hands calmly out of my handbag. We stare at each other for a few moments before I extend my hand to him. He looks down at the pack of breath mints I have for him to take. Bree obviously can't contain herself and she bursts out laughing, clenching her sides. The man behind the bar shakes his head and smacks the breath mints out of my hand, sending them skidding down the bar's bench. I in turn stick my tongue out at him.
"You suck stinky!" I move my hips so the chair moves around and I can stand up. I grab Bree by her arm and drag her out of the stuffy bar and out into the cool town outside. Woah, that feels better. The cool breeze on my warm skin somewhat sobers me up. What am I saying? I'm not at all in a fit state. Just then Bree skips to my side and gives me a wicked grin.
"We're not done yet are we Callie baby?"
"But i'm tired!" I whine like a toddler.
"Callie!" Bree groans, dragging my arm forward as she skips in front of me.
"Bree!" I mimick, causing her to stick her tongue out and wiggle it. I laugh and she laughs with me.
"Taxi! Taxi!" Bree yells suddenly at a car.
"That's not a taxi!" I tell her, giggling.
"I could've sworn that was a taxi." She mumbles to herself, frowning.
"There!" I scream, causing her to jump. She turns to look at where my finger is pointing and gasps.
"Taxi!" She screams loudly, basically throwing herself at the moving vehicle.
"Bree!" I shout at her as we get into the taxi. We both climb into the back, plopping onto the seat with a thud.
"Where to?" The taxi driver asks in a gruff voice, obviously sick of drunk people like us.
"Home. Duh!" I say this with a serious face.
He grumbles angrily under his breath. Bree informs the taxi driver of our address and moves back to sit next to me. I lean my head against her shoulder bony and sigh loudly.
It doesn't take long before the driver is pulling up outside our house. Before he can stop I open the door and roll out onto the grass.
"Callie!" Bree screams as I laugh loudly, rolling to a stop. I see her throw money at the driver and jump out, pulling her short skirt down to cover her ass. She quickly comes over and pulls me up. I lean on her and we both stagger to our apartment, most likely waking everyone in our neighbourhood up with our loud talking and random outbursts.
Bree silently fumbles with her keys before finally getting them in the key hole. She yanks the door open and we both stagger into the house. I settle down on our large couch and lay my head against the arm rest and immediantly start to fall asleep. I feel myself start to drool and I know I will regret this in the morning.
