CHAPTER 24
I sit comfortably on Everett's couch, waiting patiently for him to come home. I haven't really thought this through because I know if I do I might chicken out. I hear the front door click open and I stand up, pulling down my short skirt. I watch Everett stumble in the door and switch the light on, a shocked expression takes over his face when his eyes meet mine.
"Callie?" He asks, as if he didn't believe I was here. I nod my head and we stay staring at eachother for a long time. Finally he moves, taking a step towards me. I look into his eyes as he moves closer, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me into his chest. I breathe in his scent, letting it take over my senses completely.
"Don't scare me like that." He growls low in my ear, sending a flutter low in my stomach.
"I'm sorry." I mumble into his chest, sighing loudly when he steps away from me. All I want is for him to be close. I unwrap my arms and step away too, chewing on my lip nervously. He grabs a strand of hair and plays with it, his eyes locked with mine. Something in them is different, something that wasn't there before. He tucks the lock of hair behind my ear, letting his thumb caress my cheek, I involuntarily shutting my eyes at his touch. My head slowly tilts back while my hand comes to rest on his firm chest, eager to feel his touch. His hand grasps my waist and pulls me against his chest, snapping my eyes open with the force. He wastes no time, pressing his lips to my neck, sucking on it gently. His hand slips away from my face, sliding down my arm to my waist, holding me against him like i'm his prisoner. Where's the handcuffs then? Both my arms wrap around his neck as I press myself against him, letting out an unexpected moan. He brings his lips to mine, sucking on my bottom lip to gain entrance into my mouth. I break away and gasp for breath, Everett is gasping too.
"Callie, w-what are you doing?" Everett asks breathlessly, looking down at me with hungry eyes.
"What does it look like?" I smile and press my lips against his again, letting out a frustrated groan when he pulls away. What's up with him? He's usually so kiss kiss. "What's wrong?"
"You don't want this." He says, pushing himself closer to me.
"Yes, yes I do." I challenge, moving my hips against his.
"You just found out-- Callie!" He snaps as I grind against him, looking at him sheepishly.
"Sorry, I just can't stop myself." I say, trying my best to sound sexy. I move my head closer to his and lightly kiss his neck, feeling a little satisfaction when he moans in my ear.
"Stop. Please." He pleads with me, his voice sounding low and sexy.
"What if I say no." I murmur into his neck, working hard on giving him a hickey.
"Then I would have to Superman slam you onto the couch." He teases.
"More like Batman, Superman sucks." He growls and I laugh breathlessly.
"Seriously Callie, we need to talk." He says, trying to push himself away from me.
"Can't we talk after?" I snap, slapping his chest as he pushes me off him. "For the love of Buddah!" He gently pushes me onto the couch, taking a seat beside me. I immediantly jump onto his lap, straddling him. He lets out a frustrated sigh and rests his hands on my bare thighs, staring into my eyes.
"What's gotten into you?" He asks me seriously, gripping my thighs tighter as I press my hands against his chest.
"I don't want to fight this anymore." I tell him, glancing down at his now parted lips. If I just move forward a little bit..
"Callie, you just found out that your mother's.." He doesn't end the sentence.
"I want you." I whisper seductively, causing him to make a low growl in the back of his throat. "I want you now Everett." I lean forward and press my lips to his, getting frustrated when he doesn't kiss me back.
