Chapter 10.

"Callie?" Everett asks.

"Mmmm." I groan into my pillow, pulling the blankets up to cover my face.

"It's monday, you're going to be late for work. You don't want to get fired do you?"

"I'm getting up, jesus!" I snap, sitting up and throwing a pillow at him.

"Calm down." He chuckles, tossing the pillow on my bed and walking out the door. I groan again and slowly get out of bed, stretching on my toes with a huge yawn. My clock flashes the angry numbers of 7:30 and I quickly run down the hall to the bathroom for a shower. I open the door and throw my clothes in the washing basket in the corner before turning on the water. I jump into the warm steamy shower and wait for my muscles to untighten, grabbing some shampoo/conditioner and rubbing it through my hair. I lather my body with Everett's soap and thoroughly scrub at my body, finally satisfied I turn off the water and grab a towel, securing it around my body. Just as I do Everett walks into the bathroom, I hug the towel tighter around my body.

"Well, hello." He says with a smirk, looking for a dangerously long time at my exposed legs.

"Excuse me." I mumur, trying to push past him. He moves to stand with his back against the doorframe, making me slide past him. I slide my back against the opposite side of the doorframe, trying unsuccessfully to not touch him. My chest brushes his and suddenly i'm getting pounced on. He moves forward, sandwiching me against him and the doorframe, making me gasp.

"Wha-what are you doing?" I whisper, his face only inches away from mine.

"Ssh." He murmurs, leaning his forehead against mine. I can feel his fingers playing with the bottom of my towel, his knuckles brushing my exposed thigh. I bite my lip and stare into his eyes, watching them glow with a bright green flame. 'I always get what I want.' My hands fall limp on his chest as his eyes watch me carefully, scrutinizing my every move. He moves his head back from mine only to move his lips to my temple, softly placing a kiss. An electric shock moves through every part of my body, sending me into a frenzy of tingles. I feel his hand on my thigh, rubbing small circles with his thumb. I can't take much more of his teasing and I push him, now sandwiching him between me and the doorway. I move my lips to his ear, feeling him tense under my hands on his chest.

"We're going to be late." I whisper seductively into his ear, surprised at how well that sounded. I hear a low growl in his throat and I pull away from him, only to slide my body slowly across his and walking out the doorway. I walk into my room and close the door behind me, still a bit lightheaded. I put my bra and underwear on and slip a light purple dress over my head, stopping just above my knee. I strap on my black heels and brush through my damp hair, deciding to tie it up in a ballerina bun on top of my head. I apply a light coat of powder, mascara and lip gloss, not making too much of an effort in my looks. I grab my black blazer and ready packed handbag, slinging it over my shoulder and walking out the door. I stand in the living room for a few minutes, waiting for Everett to hurry up and take me to work. Being the impatient person I am I call out to him, no answer. I walk into the hallway and peek in the bathroom, nothing. I open his bedroom door to find no one in there, sighing loudly I walk back into the living room and look out the window. I look down into the driveway and find no car! I rush out the front door and look out at the street, hoping he had parked out front. No such luck, he had left me. Prick! I stomp angrily inside and pull my phone out of my handbag, deciding to call Nat and get him to pick me up.

"Callie, what's up babe?" He answers.

"Can you drive me to work please." I ask him, pacing angrily around the living room.
