CHAPTER 17

"Dare." He passes me the bottle and rests his hands behind his back.

"I dare you to... Take your top off." I say, watching him unbutton his shirt and throw it on the floor. I look over his muscles and fight the urge to throw myself at him. I take another drink for something to do.

"Truth or dare?" He asks with a smirk. Running his hand along his bare chest, I frown at him and he laughs.

"Truth." I say, playing it safe. He rolls his eyes and I pass him the bottle.

"Do you miss your home?" He asks, causing me to stare at him.

"Of course I do. But, this is starting to feel like home." I admit, looking at him with a small smile. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth." He passes me the bottle and I take a drink, thinking.

"What am I?" I ask him, causing him to frown at me.

"A woman?" He lifts his eyebrows up, and I almost laugh.

"No. What am I to you?" I try again, he looks at me for a while and then clears his throat.

"I don't know, we're not related if that's what you're worried about." He takes the bottle out of my hands but doesn't drink from it.

"Am I just your toy? Fresh meat?" Addison's words make the way to the front of my mind, I mentally slap them away.

"No." He traces the vodka bottle with one of his fingers, not looking up at me.

"But, theirs no feelings between us." My heart beats wildy, I take a deep breath.

"I don't think so. Is their for you?" He asks, completely serious now. A rare moment for Everett.

"I don't know." I admit. I can feel the blood rush to my cheeks. He touches my cheek with his finger and I look up at him.

"Truth or dare?" He asks, taking our minds off the last question. I think for a moment but he jumps off the bed, scaring me half to death. "One second!" He calls as he rushes out of the bedroom. I grap the near empty vodka bottle and take another swig, waiting patiently for him to come back. I see a small light in the hallway and I can't help but smile. Everett is walking back holding a small cupcake with one lite candle in the middle. He hands it to me with a smile and I hold it in one hand.

"Happy birthday." He says, grabbing the vodka bottle out of my other hand.

"Thanks." I say, blowing the candle out. He grabs the cupcake and sits it on the dresser next to his bed.

"Truth or dare?" He repeats.

"Dare." I say confidently, hoping he doesn't choose anything too bad. Yeah right, it's Everett we're talking about.

"Hmm." His eyes wander over my dress, taking his time to bring them back to my face. "Take it off."

"Excuse me?" I shuffle uncomfortably on the bed, smoothing down my dress.

"Take your dress off." He smirks and I frown at him. I snatch back the vodka bottle and take a long drink, trying to gain some confidence. I stand up in front of him, watching him eye my body.

"I need some help." I say, pointing to the zip at the back of my dress. He immediantly jumps off the bed and comes around to stand behind me, trailing a finger across my stomach. One of his hands grip my side while the other slowely unzips the dress. I pull my hair off my back and let it fall over one shoulder. I feel his lips go to my exposed shoulder and kiss it as he pulls the zip all the way down. His hand goes to my bare back and a chill runs through my body. I don't have a bra on! I hold the dress up with one hand and spin around to face him, my face full of panic.
