The Angel of Darkness, And the Demon of Light

Chapter 5: Orgin of Friendship

The lighteners stood in surprise after hearing those words come from the angel's mouth. Ralsei stared at her for a moment. "V... Vixen? Vixen!" He finally called out, running over to her. He jumped up at the girl, and she caught him in a hug. He threw a lot of force at her, so she had to try to keep them on balance.

Vixen giggled as she and Ralsei spun in a few circles before finally stopping, as Kris and Susie both stared at the two in bewilderment. After a bit of hugging, Ralsei finally looked up at his friend and her angel wings, halo, and white horns. "I can't believe it... YOU'RE the Angel of Darkness? Since when? How did you find out? Why didn't you tell me?" He questioned quickly.

Vixen laughed and held up her hand, pausing her friend's questions. "Easy there, Ralsei. One question at a time. Oh, but to answer those questions..." She paused taking a deep breath.

"Ok, so one, Yes, I am, and my sister's the Demon of Light. Two, I have no idea as to HOW long we've been like this, so I can't answer that. Three, it's a long story, and four, you never asked. Does that answer everything?" She answered in one take. "Just about!" Ralsei replied.

Chara then walked over. "Hey. You're Ralsei, huh? Well, its nice to finally meet'cha. My name's Chara. Vixen's told me a lot about you, Y'know." She introduced, holding her hand out. Ralsei, being the polite little sweetheart he is, shook her hand. "Its great to meet you, Chara! I hope we can become great friends as well!" He cheerily stated.

Susie and Kris had finally snapped themselves to reality. "Woah, woah, woah. Wait a second... You two ALREADY know each other?!" Susie asked, befuddled. Ralsei turned to look at her. "Er... Yes... Sorry I never told you two about her, I just... I didn't know how to bring it up." He answered.

Vixen and Chara approached Kris and Susie. "So, you two are the lightners from the legend, huh? I'm happy to finally meet you both!" Vixen said, happily. Kris gave her a small smile. 'It's good to meet you as well, Vixen! Ralsei DID say something about a friend pretty early on, but he never really specified it was you. Let alone, that you were the Angel of Darkness.' He signed.

Vixen stared in confusion. "Uhhh, huh?" She questioned. Chara stepped by her side. "He says that its great to meet you as well, and while Ralsei DID say something about having a friend, he didn't specify that it was you." She translated. Kris nodded quickly. "Ah, OK. Anyways, yes, Ralsei and I have been friends for awhile now. And, sorry if I don't understand what you're saying, Kris. I'm not that good at sign language." Vixen stated.

"Wait... How do you... Oh, wait, yeah. That's right... You followed us." Susie remarked. "How long have you been following us, anyway?" She asked. "Ehh, around the time when we found Kris. We followed ever since, honestly." Chara answered. "Doesn't that get boring? I mean, I know I'm pretty awesome, but all the puzzles and stuff?" Susie asked. Chara laughed at the question. "Oh, don't worry. We've had a few good laughs." She answered.

Ralsei had walked up to the conversation as well. 'Wait, you said you and Ralsei had been friends for awhile now, right?' Kris asked. "Well, yes! We have! Why do you ask, Kris?" Ralsei responded for her. 'Well, I'm curious. How did you two meet in the first place' Kris asked.

Susie noticed what he signed. "Yeah, seriously. How DID you two meet?" She asked. "How did we... Oh! I think I can answer that! Ralsei, you don't mind if I answer this one, do you?" Vixen asked, glancing at Ralsei. "Oh, OK! Go on ahead, Vixen!" He answered.

"OK, so... It all happened approximately... Five months ago, give or take..." Vixen started.

~Flashback~

Vixen had come to the darkener world for the first time, and was enjoying the serene scenery. At the moment, she was sitting in one of the trees in the field. She was trying to kill some time, seeing as she didn't really have anything interesting to do. "Well, here I am... New universe, new places, new people... Man, if only Ink could see this..." She said to herself.
