Chapter 29: All Hell Breaks Loose

Mamta Speaks: 

The truth was out in the open yet Mamta spoke in her defense tactfully "Ricky, I have spent sleepless nights by your side when you were sick, I have been happy in your joy, I never differentiated between you and Shivam. Would you have realised the depth of your love had you not stayed apart?" ...."So as per you, the only way to assess the depth of love is to forcefully get separated by someone and spend the entire life like a loser looking for each other, Wait a minute then why were you scared of separation from your husband of 25 years?" Ritwik asked quizzically 

She had no answer but spilled out that she was tired of hearing Palak complain about his drinking and Ritwik complain about Palak hiding something and his father complain about both of them. She does not like interfering in others lives but they were all pulling her towards them. "So the best way for you is to interfere in such a way that you are never called to interfere again. WoW like WoW !!Now I know why after so many years dad was still caught up thinking of his first wife and drilling in my brain how bad my mother was. He never said, you are lucky one you will find someone like Mamta?"  Ricky replied sarcastically. 

Mamta was tongue tied ; the young man in front of her was not the emotional Ricky; this one was Geeta's son who had found the strength of his umbilical connection. She had sensed the storm the other day when he unleashed on Ananya but today she was the victim. Vijay softly mumbled "Mamtaji, Kya aapne ..."  "Hna Maine ; When I saw Geeta I felt weak the way she jumped in for Ricky and shot back at you. I could not afford to lose you and I thought of keeping Ricky with us; I dont understand business but I know Ricky is the talented one, he is your heir, he is the one ...and the landline rang. 

It was Shivam and Shanaya on the other side and Reeva put it on speaker phone. They asked what was going on after reading the news on the various portals. Reeva started off that Ritwik was finally showing his true colors as a step brother and was here fighting with mom and dad and ready to throw them out of the house; Vijay added from the side that now they can abandon their studies and become waiters somewhere. Ritwik could not take it any longer and in his booming voice towering over Reeva and his dad he asked "Shivu and Shanu ; Ricky Bhai pe bharosa hai" to which both replied in unison "Always Hai" ; then "Both of you focus on your semester, everything will be as usual, give me time to sort out everything; and I will not listen to any excuse when it comes to grades".  After a few seconds of silence Shivam replied with a chuckle 

" Bhai, aaj main bohot khush hnu, aap yeh family ke saamne fuddu nahi bane, you thought of yourself ; lagta hai shaadi ke baad jo nahi hui baap banne ke baad aap mein thodi change aayi, mujhe milao unse" !! Ritwik laughed out unconsciously which angered Reeva and she disconnected the phone. 

Rishabh and Saachi are Exposed 

Rishabh who had heard everything from a distance asked Mamta and Vijay whether Shivam was indeed their son since he was more bothered about his Ricky Bhai. Saachi came screaming down the stairs; completely disheveled and threatened Rishabh with a huge divorce settlement, hefty alimony and her share from Noon Biotech. She went on mumbling that Rishabh forced her to trap Palak , to go to her house and insult her parents, give the family lawyer's number to create confusion and then he cheated her for another woman. Rishabh shot back saying that she forced him to look outward never wanting to bear his child to not compromise with her figure aand social life.  Ritwik listened attentively to their bickering which matched his notes and would have nothing of it and answered with a 

"Tch Tch Tch Saachi ji; Noon Biotech does not owe you anything ; you married Rishabh Mehra who is Noon on paper not even adopted legally by Vijay Noon. You already have 3 crores in your account siphoned by your husband for your luxury ; what happened; gambled, shopped, got botox to look young or did something to never get pregnant. You are the perfect gold digger who married for money to sponsor your expensive taste. You dared to call Palak a gold digger to please your husband and went out of your way to ill treat her and trap her mother, Karma is a bitch you see !!"
