"Do you want a wedding in the winter or the fall?"
Roman sighed as he sat in Enzo's lap, the two lounging in bed.
"Whatever you want love."
Enzo smiled rubbing Roman's neck as the Salvatore groaned.
"You can't say that. You said that for the venue and the flowers."
Roman rolled his eyes as Enzo laughed.
"You sound like Caroline."
"I just want it to be perfect."
Roman pouted as Enzo grinned pecking his lips.
"I'm marrying you, it will be perfect regardless of season."
Enzo smiled warmly.
Roman stared deeply into his lovers eyes for what felt like hours.
"Enzo,"
The vampire hummed in response.
"I love you, but if you don't pick a season I'll kill you."
"Okay! Okay, uh, winter."
Enzo chuckled as Roman smiled kissing his cheek.
"Thank you."
Roman sighed in content as he turned to face Enzo, still in the mans lap.
The two just stared at each other, taking notice of every detail.
"You remember the first time you told me you loved me?"
Roman asked in a quiet whisper.

Dirt and blood was thick on Roman's skin, coating his face along with his arms.
He winced hearing his brother's screams echo through the walls.
"It's okay."
Enzo whispered slipping his hands through the bars.
The two vampires were back to back their hands intertwined as they faced opposite directions.
"It really isn't."
Roman forced a laugh trying not to think about the situation.
"It should be me in there."
Roman sighed bringing his knees up to his chest and resting his other hand on top of them.
"Don't speak like that love."
"Why not? What would be so bad about me being in there screaming instead of Damon?"
Enzo chuckled shaking his head as he squeezed Roman's hand.
"I'd have to listen to the man I love screaming in terror, that's just as bad as hearing my best mate."
Roman smiled at the concrete, tilting his head slightly so he could barely see Enzo.
"Lorenzo St. John,"
Roman grinned as he spoke, the way he said it as if it was the first time he was saying his name.
"Did you just say you loved me?"
"I did, and I'll say it a thousand times more if you'd like."

"Of course I do."
Enzo smiled resting his hands on Roman's hips.
The Salvatore smiled linking his fingers with Enzo's.
"I love you."
Enzo whispered.
"And a thousand times more you have said it my love."
Roman grinned as he leaned close to Enzo, their lips barley touching.
"I can't wait to marry you Roman Salvatore."
