Thomas couldn't believe what just happened, and ran off stage. Alex handed John a microphone, and nodded to Eliza, who began playing the intro to Breaking Free. John stood frozen in place. Alex saw this, and motioned for Eliza to stop playing.
"I can't do it, Alex, not with all those people staring at me," John told him. He tried to walk away, but Alex grabbed his arm before he could escape.
"Hey, hey, look at me, look at me, right at me. Right at me. It'll be like the first time we sang together. Remember? Like kindergarten," He told him softly. Once again, Alex motioned for Eliza to start playing, this time the backdrop game

As the song ended, the auditorium erupted with applause and cheering.
"Whoo!" Peggy cheered, standing up and clapping her hands vigorously.
"That's amazing!" Samuel screamed.
"Amazing, yeah!" Angelica shouted, jumping up and down. Alex looked over to John who was smiling widely, and pulled him into an embrace. Alex looked down at the shorter male, and planted a kiss on his head. They both turned to face crowd and took turns bowing, as the crowd continued to cheer.
