Desi:

"Oh, there you are!" I hear the familiar voice. "Sorry, am I interrupting something? I just came here to look for you since H&M had no cute clothes whatsoever." Layla said, making us all laugh.

"And hey there, Lin." She greets him. "Hi Layla," He responds with a smile. "Do you care to join us? Don't worry, I'll leave you two alone." She tells him. Lin looks at me as if asking me for permission and I quickly nod my head yes. "I would love to," He smiles.

After that, Layla decides to leave us alone because well, that's what best friends do. Lin and I just walked around and talked, we didn't really shop. Suddenly all of my urge to go shopping was nonexistent because he was by my side. Now, my urge was to keep talking to him and to keep being by his side.

He made me want to talk to him forever. He made me want to be by his side all the time. I was slowly but surely becoming addicted to him, even if it sounds weird or creepy.

"Oh," Lin says, checking his watch. "What happened?" I ask, suddenly stopping my pace.

"We should get going, we have the party." Lin says looking up at me. "Oh, right! Okay, let me just call Layla." I say and he nods understandingly.

"Hey, Lin and I have to go because we have that party I talked to you about. You sure? Alright, thank you. Love ya, too," I chuckle and hang up.

"Layla decided to take an uber when she was done because she wanted to spend more time here." I say.

"Well, I figured that part out," He says, making me laugh softly. We exit the mall and walk into my car. He had told me that his sister had dropped him off so he didn't have a car.

I decided to put some classic jams in the car and we sang along to the top of our lungs with the windows rolled down. When we got to his sister's place, I dropped him off.

"I will see you later, ma'am," He says jokingly. He takes off his seat belt and reaches over to give me a soft kiss on the cheek. I blush uncontrollably before saying, "Sounds good, sir," We laugh and he gets out of the car.

Holy shit

I then proceed to drive home and start getting ready for the party. I only had an hour to get ready. You're probably thinking well you have a whole hour to get ready, isn't that enough? For me, it isn't. And I think I speak on behalf of most girls.

When I'm finally ready with my hair and makeup, I change into my outfit which consisted of a fancy red dress and some black heels. When I was satisfied with how I looked, I grab everything and wait for Lin to come pick me up.

I scroll through endless tweets, retweeting some and liking many, and suddenly I receive a text from Lin saying he was here. I walk over to the door and when I close it behind me, I see him outside on his phone, waiting for me.

I start walking towards me and when he notices I'm outside, he puts away his phone quickly and stares at me in awe. I could safely say that I did the same. He was wearing some dark jeans, a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a tie.

What a mans,

"Wow, you look amazing," I say as he greets me with a hug.

"So do you!" He quickly exclaims. "Ready?" He says, extending his arm for me to take and I nod with a smile. Our plan was to take the train since we're used to doing that here in New York. Besides, we lived near the subway so that made it easier for us.

When we're inside the train, we start having a random conversation until Lin looks like he got an idea. My eyebrows furrow in confusion as he takes out his phone and starts writing what seems to be a song on his notes. I decide not to say anything until he's finished because I know how concentrated he was on that exact same moment.

When he's done writing, I look up at him and question, "Woah there, Usain Bolt, what did you write?" I laugh and he does too. Suddenly, I see this light in his eyes. I see sparkle, and hope, and faith.

"I just got this amazing idea for something I'm working on, it just hit me all at once! I know what to write now, Des! I got this!" He exclaims and I can't help but grin.

"I knew you could do it! What's the proyect about?" I question.

"An American musical,"

Lin:

"An American musical," I say proudly. For a second, I'm afraid Desi would judge me, but then I remember how supportive she is with my every move, so all of my worry washes away.

"Oh my God, fuck yes, that sounds like a great idea!" She cheers, "Is it going to be on the book that you picked up today?" She asks, referring to our library encounter. I did start reading the first few chapters of the book which originallt gave me this whole idea. She knew exactly what I was thinking. That's one of the many reasons why this girl had my heart. "Yes! I don't have everything figured out yet, but I have the base idea or the foundation," I say, excitement coming out of every word.

"Okay then what are you waiting for? Keep writing!" She rushes, making us laugh. I do as she says and keep writing down every single idea that comes to mind. As I'm doing this, the whole chorus of the first song comes to mind. I write it down, and suddenly, I see the shape of the whole entire song.

Desi:

In a matter of minutes, I see Lin writing down the whole song,

How the hell?

This man writes like tomorrow won't arrive. We get to our destination and I see him look up to me and ask, "I am so sorry Desi, but, can we just stay at my place or yours? I really wanted to take you to this party but I just have to keep writing an-" He says nervously. I calm him down.

"Hey, Lin. It's alright, yes we can. I want you to stay focused," I say and I see his face beam with happiness. "Thank you so much," He says, wrapping his arm around my shoulder while I bury my face into his neck, I can smell his alluring cologne.
