"I'm sorry."
-----------       (sort of trigger warning?)
3rd POV

The Galra fathers watch the view of there child drifting farther away by the tick.

They watched as the child they raised fall unconscious on the floor.

Red flew away in silence. The feeling of dread and sadness taking over. Everyone could feel it.

No one said a word of their missing hero.

------------- At the Castle---------
Shiro's POV

We were about to go out for our mission to get Keith until we saw the Red lion come towards the castle.

"Coran! Open up the comms!" I commanded.

He did so but, the person who showed up wasn't Keith.

It was Kolivan.

"Kolivan?" I ask.

"We need to get in the castle now. There are prisoners severely injured and need healing pods." He says in a monotone voice.

I look in the background of the screen.

"Where's Keith?" I questioned.

Kolivan's ears drooped.

".....we'll tell you when we get there." He then closed the comms.

I got a bad feeling about this.

-----------

The red lion came to hanger slowly. Red opened her mouth as prisoners climbed out.

We helped each one to the med bay for Coran to check up on them.

We then waited for the blades to come out.

They walked out with distressed faces.

I walk up to them.

"What happened?"

Thace looked at me me before answering.

"Keith was captured."

Me and the rest of the paladins stood their in shock.

"What? How?" Pidge asks.

Ulaz took a turn to speak.

"He came alone. He freed everyone. But before he could get to his lion he was shot down. All we saw after that was him being dragged away with Haggar."

We all stood in silence. Antok came up growling.

"Let me ask you a question. Why was he alone? Why were none of you there? I remember voltron being 5 lions not 1." He growls.

We stood there guilty.

"We...we hurt him. We disagreed with him going with him because..well.." I actually don't know why I disagreed.

Kolivan raises his eyebrow.

"Because?"

I stutter "um..I...don't know why but after that he ran off.

Kolivan speaks.

"Let us ask another question. How were you treating him here?" He glares.

"Umm.....we.."

I exhale shaking.

"We treated him wrong. Allura threatened him. And we did nothing to stop it. I'm sorry."

Kolivan stays silent before speaking coldly.

"I see. Considering this we will be breaking off this alliance taking Keith with us."

Before I could protest back Coran bursts into the hanger.

"Everybody! Haggar is on the comms! She has Keith!" He pants.

Everyone looks each other before running to the control room.

Once well all got there Haggar turns around with a wicked smile.

"Very suprising to see you all here." She says.

Kolivan growls.

"Where is Keith?"

"Now Kolivan you know how I hate being commanded (zarkon is a different story) you better watch your  mouth unless you want your kit dead."

Kolivan silenced himself but still glared.

"Now, I just wanted to show you my new pet. Don't be so sad." The witch laughed.

She moves to the side showing us something horrifying.

Keith was hanged by his hands. A wound on his side bleeding. His leg was twisted in a weird angle and his arm had a deep gash. He opened his eyes.

"Looks like he finally woke up. Why don't you say hi to your family?"

Keith's eyes widened.

"Guys! Please don't come after me please! I'm not worth it-

"That's enough now mutt." Haggar cuts him off  shooting a black orb at his chest.

Keith screams in pain going unconscious again. That was noise I never want to here again.

"Now, if you really want this worthless mutt back, I suggest that you give up your lions. If you dont, I'll gladly keep him for future purposes." Haggar proposes.

"You have a quintant. You better hurry." She laughs as the comm turns off.

We all look at each other.

What are we going to do?
