After The Big News

Mom was downstairs cooking breakfast and getting Sunday dinner ready for this afternoon for after church. God knows I didn't feel up to that today. All I wanted to do was lay in bed and sleep. This baby is kicking my ass. All I do is throw up, sleep, and eat. I haven't talked to my mom after the big news was told. Dad came in last night and had his little talk. I wonder what Kwan thinks about all of this. I walked to Kwan room and knocked on the door.

"Come in." Kwan said.

I walked in and sat on the bed.

"Hey baby."

"Hey you." Kwan said.

I leaned down and gave him a kiss.

"So what did daddy say to you last night?"

"He just went through all the why you didn't."

"Why you didn't what?"

"Use a condom, tell him I was having sex, I was dating you."

"Oh so the same things he asked me?"

"So are you upset that I'm pregnant?"

"Hell nah. I told you I love you and that has not changed."

We hugged and kissed.

"So are you going to church today?" Amira asked.

"Do I have a choice?" Kwan said.

"No you don't. If I got to go so do you."

"Wow that's crazy."

"How that's crazy?"

"Cause it is like we tell them we're pregnant and now we made to go to church."

"Don't start this Kwan. Just go it's not a thing."

"Fuck a thing. Your mom is furious with me right now. Honestly I don't want to even go."

"Well you are going. I'm gonna be mad at you for real."

"Well get up and get dressed."

Kwan got up and came to me. He hugged me and then he kissed me softly on my lips.

"I love you Amira."

"I love you too. Now get dressed."

"I am."

He got on his knees and lifted my shirt. He kissed my stomach and hugged me around my waist.
