EDIT : Okay, I'm re-reading this two years later and wow was my writing terrible. Anyway I'm not here for much, but I'd like to say something. This was written before it was released to the public that JK Rowling is transphobic. 

I NOW DISLIKE HER FOR THIS REASON. I think refusing to accept somebody's existence because it 'makes you uncomfy' is not at all a moral thing to do. 

So yeah. Now back to reading my younger selves gods-awful writing. And I apologise that I'm too lazy to go and edit them all out.

However, throughout this book you'll see that I have made several disclaimers crediting Rick Riordan and JKR for writing the source material. I have also praised JK in a myriad of ways. I TAKE THAT BACK. PLEASE IGNORE IT. 

Hi! So this is my first fan-fiction, so it's probably gonna be really bad. So, sorry to anyone who reads it, I'm not the best at writing. Anyway.....

Nico's POV

As I walked up to Will's school to pick him up, my first impression was big. Big, grey and supposedly boring. Geez, I've never personally went to high school, but from the stories the others had told me, I wasn't gonna need it. Besides, when is Shakespeare's Hamlet going to help me fight monsters?

I was about to step inside when I realized a pretty big flaw in my plan. Where was Will? Do students stay inside after school ends??? Nah, they probably want to escape the hell hole as fast as they could. I know I would at least.

Brushing hair out of my eyes, I walked through the large glass doors and stared down the long empty hallway. Will didn't say where he'd wait for me. Maybe I should ask someone, but who would be out when class is still in session? Is there an office? Do people usually show up before school ends? Where do I need to go?

I glanced down at my watch. 2:29.(I don't know when school ends in the US😅)School ends at 2:30 so....

Suddenly a loud metallic ringing flooded through the once silent hallway.

The bell.

Will's POV

I walked out of my classroom with a dorky grin on my face. Nico was gonna pick me up today! I haven't seen him in so long. I really miss him and his beautiful smile that he doesn't know he has, his mysterious dark brown eyes, and the way he thinks that no one hears him singing under his breath... and -

"Uh, Will?" I was snapped out of my trance by my friend Jax's voice. "Are you okay?" I let a nervous laugh escape me. "Yeah. It's just that, someones coming to pick me up today, and I kinda don't know if he's gonna be able to find me."

"Ooooh, a he? Am I finally going to meet the man who stole Mr Solace's golden heart?" He said jokingly. I blushed and Jax grinned. Jax was one of the only people in the whole school who knew I was gay. I wasn't really ready to come out to the school yet, but apparently telling people that you're in a relationship isn't enough to keep them away.

After stowing our stuff in out lockers, me and Jax headed to the exit.

"So, why in the world did you tell this person to pick you up, but not where?" I shifted uncomfortably. How in Hades was I supposed to tell him that it was a really short phone-call so we wouldn't attract monsters?

"Umm... that's because...." but as I was searching my brain for an excuse I caught sight of a lone figure standing in front of the doorway looking adorably bewildered. "Nico!" I called out happily as I jogged toward him.

Nico's POV

HOW MANY PEOPLE GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!

One second this is a deserted hallway, the next the fields of asphodel? How is it that so many human beings, loud, flailing, unfit, human beings can occupy a space in such a short amount of time? Suddenly I was a fish swimming upstream - being jostled one way or another as students clamored for the exit. I was seriously considering waiting outside when I heard an achingly familiar voice calling my name.

"Nico!" I heard Will say. I turned toward the sound and find myself being attacked by my lanky, golden-haired boyfriend. "Hey Will." I say returning the hug.

As soon as he pulled away, he started rambling. "I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you where to meet me, I kinda forgot and I - " I placed my hand over his mouth.

"Calm down. I've faced much worse than getting lost in a school." I said irritably. Will blushed scarlet. "Sorry." He mumbled into my hand. I rolled my eyes and took my hand down only to be caught in another hug. "I'm so glad you're here." I heard Will whisper in my ear. I smiled and buried my head in his shoulder. "Me too."

By the time he pulled away, most of the students had left the hallway, meaning I could finally walk normally again, when I heard a voice call Will's name.

"Who's this?" The boy who had spoken was tall, brown haired and wore black-rimmed glasses. His hands were fiddling with the straps of a blue back-pack and he had blue eyes. He was wearing a thin blue jacked unzipped over a Fall Out Boy T-shirt, and a loose pair of jeans with white sneakers.

"Nico, this is Jax, Jax - this is my boyfriend Nico."

Jax grinned. "So this is Nico." He said turning to me. "How do you put up with him? Seriously. He's always talking about you. Nico's hair, Nico's eyes, Nico's voice, Nico Nico Nico. It's honestly driving me mad!" I turned to Will with a raised eyebrow. "Does he?" I said smirking. Will - again - blushed.

Will's POV

That traitor! I am going to kill Jax the next time I see him. "Well, according to Hazel, you blush every time someone says my name!" Nico immediately flushed pink. He is so cute! "Shut up Solace." He stammered. Laughing, I grabbed his hand and led him outside.

Once we were on the stone steps outside, Jax gave me a quick hug. "See ya next year Will!" He ran down the steps, stopped midway and turned around. " Oh, and use protection!" "JAX!"

Blushing I started walking down the steps. "So you wouldn't shut up about me huh?" I looked at my grinning boyfriend. "NICOOOOOO!!!!!!" I whined as he laughed. Gods he looked beautiful when he laughed.
