Hazel's POV

"Wait, come again?" said Piper grinning. Will smiled and started to fiddle with his promise ring. "I told you already. Apparently, Nico and I are going to be 'fully bonded' by tomorrow morning. "And you have soulmate tattoos?" I added excitedly. Nico rolled his eyes and showed us his wrist. A shape that kind of looked like a feather was slowly being sketched on his wrist. I smiled. Nico had a soulmate tattoo. I was so happy for him!

Piper was beaming. I could tell she wanted to ask more questions, but she held it back, which I could respect. You have on idea how many questions I got when Frank and I got when we went back to Camp Jupiter. The fact that Frank was well, I guess the western word would we hot, he got a lot of attention from the Venus kids. But he ignored them. I have no idea why. Why would he like me when he has a chance with them? But that's why I like Frank. He doesn't judge on looks. I miss Frank.... last time I saw him was when Piper fainted. Wonder what he was doing now....

"Uh, Hazel?" I looked up at Will. "Mmm?"
"What do you think about the prophecy?"

"Oh! Uh, sorry about that. I don't know. So we're bonded with a god right? But then we're also granted powers by a primordial, so how the hell does that work?" Piper and Will nodded while Nico frowned. "I dunno." He said standing up and stretching. 'I'm going to the music room 'kay." He grabbed his sketchbook and placed his hand on the wall. It melted away and we got a short view of the dark staircase before the wall formed again behind his back.

I frowned. Nico had little spats where he needed to be alone, I got that. But he rarely went down there alone. Not to mention he took his sketchpad. Not a good sign.

"I'm going to the infirmary." said Will. "See ya." That's why I liked Will. He knew when someone needed space, and made sure they got it. Nico couldn't have a better soulmate. "I'll be out front." said Piper grabbing a book off her side-table. "See ya Haze." And then I was alone. I sighed and fell back on my bed.

I guess I could go out and socialize, but what was the point. I didn't know many people here. Ugh, I really need to find something to do. I sat up and looked around. It wasn't often that a demigod was bored. I mean, seeing as we could be killed any second, we tend to live life to the fullest. Maybe I could paint....

Before I registered what I was doing, I had already gotten my paints out from my dresser. I grabbed an easel and set it up in front of a bay window. They view wasn't very good, we were facing the peeling paint of the Mercury, I mean Hermes, cabin. But there were a few perks. It was great place to paint abstract, not to mention that people forgot that we could see them. Oh the things I'd seen......

But before I could paint anything, a shimmering mist appeared. A monotone voice rang out.

"Please insert one drachma." What in Pluto's name was a drachma? Piper came in. "Who you messaging?" Oh right. It's an Iris message. "Please insert a drachma."

"Uh, what's a drachma?" I asked Piper. She laughed and walked over to her bedside table. She searched for a second and pulled out a golden coin. "This." she said walking over to the Iris message.

"Please insert a drac-" the annoying voice was cut of as Piper tossed the drachma into the mist. "Here you go Iris."

The mist shivered and Frank's face appeared. I smiled. "Hey Frank." Frank smiled back. "Hey Haze. Hey Pipes. Um, I dunno why I'm calling but, this is amazing!" He said his face lighting up and dimples finding their way to the surface. Even though his look had changed, he was still Frank.

"Seriously Hazel, how come Roman's didn't have anything like this!" I laughed. Yup. Still Frank.

"I'll leave you two to it!" said Piper smiling. I talked to Frank for over an hour. It felt so good to see him again.

"Frank?" a voice called out on Frank's side. "Oh geez, I gotta go. See you later Hazel! Miss you!" Being the adorable dork he is, he made a little heart with his hands. Aw, he's so sweet! "Miss you too Frank." I said returning the gesture. The message cut out and I smiled. Well, didn't get round to painting, but I'm so happy I got to talk to Frank. "Finally. I thought you'd never stop."

I turned around to see a smiling Piper leaning against the wall. I don't know whether she saw, but I blushed.

"Anyway," said Piper as she sat down on her bed. "Hasn't Nico been down in the music room for a while?" My eyes widened. I'd totally forgotten!

"Right." I mumbled. "I'll go get him." I said standing up. "Should I come?" said Piper. I shook my head. "I know it's weird, but Nico probably wouldn't let anyone else near him. I don't even know why he needs to be alone. I mean, he has a soulmate tattoo, and apart form the prophecy, not much happened. So yeah. Probably best if I go alone." I gave Piper a smile, but I was worried. Nico took his sketchpad. I know somethings up.

Maybe I shouldn't go down. I mean, sure he 's been down there for a hour, but what right did I have to invade his privacy. Soon enough, I was in front of a door in a hallway. I placed my hand on the door, and stepped into the music room.

At first I couldn't see Nico. Then I realized he was in he recording booth, playing the violin.

I walked to the control booth silently. Once I was inside, I opened up the connection to the booth Nico was in. A familiar tune meet my ears. 7 years, by Lucas Graham. I smiled. Nico had always loved this song. He said it was really easy to play, and had even taught me the piano accompaniment. He looked really invested in playing. The always was when it came to music. Apparently one of his earliest flashbacks were of having music classes in Italy. He had learned piano at first, and Bianca had learned the violin. But somewhere along the line, Nico had learnt it too. When he played music, he said it was a escape from the troubles of being half god. And to be honest, I got it. I feel that way when I paint.

I grinned. I knew how to get his attention.

I silently crept into the booth that Nico was in, trying to get to the piano without him noticing. At first it worked, but demigod senses. Once I was halfway to the piano, Nico caught sight of me. He stopped playing.

"Hazel?" He asked kinda confused. I just gestured for him to keep playing. He obliged. Once I got to the piano, my suspicions were proven correct. Nico had placed the music on the piano.

I sat down, placed my hands on the keys, and began to play.
