Pipers POV

I stared at the ceiling for a while. Don't ask me why. I'm a daughter of Aphrodite, not Athena. Besides, it was kinda pretty. It was white, and at first I thought it was just paint. But now since it's afternoon, I realized that white diamonds were embedded in the ceiling. They glittered in the gentle light, casting shadows upon one another and looking kind of like the ocean. I didn't realize how long I'd lay there until I heard the door open. Will.

"Hey Pipes." He said as he flopped down face-first onto his bed. I smirked. "Busy day?" I asked sitting up. He nodded, his face still in the blankets. He rolled over. "Where's Nico?"  he asked pushing himself up. "Music room." I said fiddling with my comforter. "Hazels gone to get him." I frowned. "She's been gone for a while now actually..."
"Wanna go get them?" asked Will brushing hair out of his eyes. I nodded.

We walked down the corridor in silence. At least we did for the first bit. As we descended, I started to hear music. Really, really loud music. By the time we got to the door, we could already make out the words. I exchanged looks with Will, who just shrugged, and opened the door.

"Cause all that it takes is a little re-in-ven-tion!"
"It's easy to change if you give it your-att-en-tion!" I stifled a laugh. Nico and Hazel were dancing around the room to Sincerely Me from Dear Evan Hansen. Gods they look adorable!

Nico was wearing a pink scarf -where did he get that?- and a red suit jacket. Hazel was wearing a green scarf and a wide brimmed hat. They were singing and laughing while they ran around the room throwing things around and doing over-exaggerated actions to the song. I looked at Will, who was shaking his head and smiling. I agreed. What happened to Nico and Hazel being deadly?

I leaned against the wall. When were they going to notice us? I wasn't eager to stop them, so I had no problem waiting. I looked at Will and rolled my eyes. The dork had joined in! He'd walked straight up to Hazel and Nico, and joined in. Oh my gods. I was in a room full of cosplayers. They smiled as he joined them, and Hazel went over to a chest in the corner and threw a red scarf around his neck.

Nico pulled Will toward him and kissed him, and soon enough the two of them were having a pillow fight. I didn't get gay couples. One second they're being world-destroyingly adorable, and the next their hitting each other. Wow. Just wow.

Hazel walked over to me, her hat almost falling off and breathless. "Hey Piper." She said beaming. "Hey. Looks like you two were having fun." I said smiling. She grinned. "Yup."

I chuckled. "So. What do you think?" I said gesturing to Will and Nico who were now sitting on the sofa and talking to each other. As I watched, Will placed a kiss on Nico's cheek, making him blush furiously and start hit Will with a pillow. Hazel smiled softly. "Match made in Heaven." She said quietly. Couldn't have said it better myself.

"Hey Hazel, who made the tech?" It was possible for demigods to use technology now. We just had to make sure that monsters couldn't track it. A couple of scientists in New Rome had found out how they tracked us, and modified technology that demigods could use. I couldn't do it, but apparently Leo and the Hephaestus cabin had caught wind and decided to try it out. Let's just say, a lot of mistakes, but the rewards were good.

"Uh, I'm not sure." said Hazel shrugging as How to be a Heartbreaker came on. "You might want to ask Nico. He'll probably know."

"Hazel?" asked Will. "Yeah?" "What time is it?" Hazel looked at a clock on the wall behind them.

"Around quarter to six, why?" Will grinned. "Dinner."

"-and then he just decided to kiss me and oh my gods, like why?" There were noises of agreement from all over the Aphrodite table. Next to me a couple of girls were discussing the type of nail polish someone had worn, and across the table a girl and a boy were discussing some guy from their school. "-but he's hot!" I just sighed.

After eating with Nico, Will and Hazel, the conversation at the Aphrodite table seemed even pettier than before. I half-hardheartedly chewed on a piece of broccoli. "Boys and makeup." I mumbled. "Problem Piper?" I heard a familiar voice behind me and swallowed. "Hey Leo."

The rest of us may have changed since the fight with Gaia, but Leo was still the same. Talking about machines, telling corny jokes, spontaneously combusting. The usual for the fire user. "Chiron wants you and your team of chosen ones at the big house." He said fiddling with a astrolabe. I pushed my plate away. I wasn't hungry. "I'm going." I caught Hazels eye and jerked my head to the big house. She nodded. I walked over to the Apollo table and placed my hand on Will's shoulder. He looked at me, and his expression turned grim. He knows something.

Soon enough we were walking through camp. "We're going on a quest." said Will dully. I groaned. Finally. The very important quest that we'd been getting hints about for so long. Nico voiced my thoughts.

"About time." he said rolling his eyes. "I was getting tired of the mystery if I'm being honest." Hazel just shook her head beside me. The blue paint job of the big house came into view and I smiled. We walked up the dark wooden stairs, across the veranda and Hazel opened the door cautiously.

I followed Hazel into the all too familiar room of the big house. Even though it was still warm, a fire burned merrily in the hearth, and Seymour roared at us from his mounting. I sighed, breaking the dusty silence. Chiron calls us, and then decides that he won't be here? Seriously?

"Now what?" said Nico sounding bored. "I guess we wait." I said sitting down on one of the couches. Hazel sat down next to me, and Will sat down on one of the armchairs. He started to play with his promise ring. Nico started to walk around the room and examine the tapestry on the wall. I just looked around. It was quiet except for the crackling fire and the occasional noise from Seymour.

We sat like that for a while, until I heard a noise coming from the door opposite us. I looked up puzzled. "Do you guys hear that?" asked Hazel sounding worried. I nodded. The noise got louder, and I realized that it was yelling.

"You can't! They won't be able to keep in touch with us! It'll blow their cover!"
"They will be able to contact you, I wouldn't send them on a quest like-" The door swung open and I saw Chiron and Hecate. They didn't seem to notice we were here.

"-that." said the goddess calmly, Gale the polecat chittered in agreement. "I know," said Chiron warily. "But you cannot deny that it's dangerous. They might die trying to get in alone,"
"Wait a sec, how might we die?" said Will. The four of us had gotten to our feet and were staring at the figures opposite us.

"There. They know. Way to keep it quiet guys." I saw my mum and Apollo follow them through the door. Chiron simply rolled his eyes. "Beside the point. It's too dangerous-"

Apollo turned to us. "Better pack your bags." He said sounding tired. "Your going to England."
