HEY!!!!!!!!!!

SO. I'M A POTATO. CAUSE I WANNA BE. 'KAY? 'KAY. This is an accurate representation of what I wish my thoughts were like. They aren't like this. They're philosophical. In the sense I can't get to sleep for two hours because of them. Does anyone else do this? Like they live in their head more than they do outside of it? I've seen posts about it, but I don't know how many people like me are out there. But it's weird, because I dunno about you, but you know those zodiac posts on Pinterest? Most of them are accurate when it comes to me. Does that make me average or something? I'm a Capricorn BTW. What about you? Rambling aside, do you think Piper would be a Quidditch player?

ANYWHO.... ストーリータイム! (Sutōrītaimu!)

THIS IS JAPANESE BY THE WAY. NOT MANADARIN. THEY LOOK WAY DIFFERENT.

Will's POV

Not soon after Cayden had left the Slytherin table, we were joined by another one of Divani's friends. But this one was... different.

"Hey M!" said Divani happily, waving over yet another person. I felt Nico stiffen beside me.
"How many friends does this girl have?" He grumbled his eyes locked on the most recent member of Divani's already huge group.
"Nico! Try be a bit more positive!." I chided. Granted, the new girl was a little strange. She had long black hair that fell strait down her back. She had a fringe that covered one of her eyes, and green glasses. She had palish slightly olive skin and a few freckles, and was nervously tugging her sleeves over her wrists. She seemed really shy.

"Hi! I'm Will." I said calmly holding my hand out for her to shake. She lifted her hair, shaking hair out of her face. And wow.

She had the most piercing blue eyes I'd ever seen. They weren't vivid, or a deep blue. They were pale, and icy. You could almost see shards in them, slowly crystallizing in freezing temperature. They were, striking. Icy, but warm. Just captivating.

"Hi." she said in a soft whisper. "I Monica." She shook my hand gently, and then turned to Nico. For a moment, she seemed confused. So did Nico. They stared at each other, slowly analyzing the person across the table. Hesitantly, Nico leaned forward, and took her hand in his own.
"Nico." he said puzzled. She smiled, and nodded. "Nice to meet you. Is it short for anything?"

"Nicollo." he said sitting back down. She smiled. "So your Italian. Questo posto è bello, no?" She chuckled. Nico burst into a grin. "Si. Ma personalmente non mi piace il lago. Troppi calamari." He said scrunching up his nose. She laughed, a light-hearted ringing that seemed to linger in the air. I gazed at the two in amazement.

"You can speak Italian?!" I said beaming. She nodded. "Yup. My parents moved here when I was about ten, and then I got my letter to Hogwarts. I kind of miss Italy sometimes, but at least here I'm not going to be expected to use music as magic." Wait a minute... WHAT? I stared at Nico, who looked equally surprised.

"Music as Magic?" He said incredulously. The pale-skinned girl nodded. "It's quite common in Italy." Nico face suddenly fell, and he leaned into my shoulder slightly, nodding. "Makes sense." he said quietly, staring at the table. I frowned.
"Neeks?" He started, and then smiled at me.
"I'm good." he muttered. But it wasn't convincing. There was definitely something up.

"So you're getting along?" said Divani leaning over to us, her long hair almost brushing some apples as she lent over the table. "Great! Honestly, it took me over a week to get this girl to speak. Teach me your secrets!" she said laughing. I smiled back. She might be a bit much, but that girls attitude was infectious. "Also, what the hell Monica! You didn't tell me you could speak a different language!" she said glaring at the other girl. She shrugged, pushing her glasses up her nose.
"Never came up." Divani stared at her.
"Really? In six years, it never came up? Not even once?"

"Students! Your attention please!" called a voice from the front of the hall. Professor McGonagle straightened her tall hat and looked down at us. "You timetables." she said waving her wand.  A small piece of card appeared in front of me, same with Nico. "As you know, there will be no magic in the halls. This year I hardly have to stress the importance of this." At this moment, her face fell for a moment, and then was hard as stone.

"Regardless of the changes made to the school, I assure you not much will be different." A loud snicker echoed through the hall. All heads turned to the black robed wizard who was seated at the staff table. "Really Minerva. Not much different, eh?" he let out a barking laugh. "Interesting. He turned to us as he stood up.
"Listen up maggots. Things are going to change. Pure blood? Co-operate. Half Blood? Tread carefully. Mudblood?"He let out a maniacal chuckle. "Well your dead already." I glanced down at Nico, who was fingering with his skull ring and looking anxious. I tugged on his wrist, causing him to jump and look at me with a raised eyebrow. Noticing my expression, he just shook his head quietly.

I turned my attention back to the head table in time to catch the last of the mans speech.

"-and just so you know, The Dark Lord has given us permission to use a certain spell in detention." he chuckled darkly. "So watch out. Now scram!"

There was silence for a second, and then the sound of benches being pushing across the floor as students scrambled for the exit. In a second, Selena, Cayden, Piper and Hazel were by our shoulders.

"They're gonna use the cruiciatus curse." said Nico grimly, watching the backs of the people ahead of us. "I really hope the other three don't get detention this year." I took his hand, and lacing our fingers together lead him toward the door.

"But that's barbaric!" said Hazel sounding distressed. "Torturing people purely because of their parentage? Really?" she said furiously as she stumbled over someones foot. " I thought all this discrimination stuff had stopped since I died!"
"Since you died?" Oh hell no.

Monica was watching us quietly through her glasses, frowning slightly as she tucked a lock of her straight hair behind her ear.
"It's nothing." said Nico quietly. She looked at us carefully, but then nodded and walked away to join the others.

"Great." I sighed. "Another person we have to watch out for." We walked out into the entrance hall, and started climbing a staircase, following Silena and Divani, who were heading to our first class, which was Transfiguration. Nico smiled softly.
"Well, at least I have someone to complain to when you guys are annoying." he said chuckling.

Hazel shot me a look.
"She can speak Italian." I said answering her question. She smiled at her brother.

"That's great Nico!" she said brushing his shoulder with her own.
"I don't think so." said Piper coming up behind me. "Now he can plan murder with his new friend." she said solemnly, but she was smiling.

"Shut up Beauty Queen."
