Will's POV

The moment that Zeus appeared, everyone fell silent. Even us. We knew that he couldn't hear us, but we were too terrified to speak. I looked over to the others. Pipers kaleidoscope eyes were wide with fear, staring at the thunder god. Hazel had shut her eyes and was bowing her head, as though bracing for impact. But then I looked at Nico.

Sure the rest of us looked scared, but he looked completely terrified. His eyes darted around the room - occasionally shutting - but he was also muttering under his breath in Italian and shaking. Of course. The last time he'd seen Zeus's lightning, his mother had been killed, and he'd lost his memories not long after. I immediately became aware of Nico's hand grasping mine, and squeezed his hand reassuringly.  The pale boy stopped shaking at once, closed his eyes and leaned into me, burying his head into my shoulder.

"Zeus." said Hades supposedly calmly, but I could hear a hint of anger in his voice. "Tell me where they are Hades. I command you." said Zeus threateningly. " You have no control over the Underworld brother. I however, do."

"I DON'T CARE WHERE WE ARE." Zeus thundered. "Hand them over and I won't cause any trouble."

"You won't cause any trouble? What right do you have to threaten me in my own domain?" said Hades sounding slightly amused. " I am the king of the gods and the oldest. And I demand that you hand them over."

I felt Nico tighten his grip on me as he started to shake into my shoulder. I out my arm around him feeling horrified. This prophecy, whatever it was, had giving Zeus a reason to come to the Underworld. I had a feeling that we weren't going back to camp any time soon. I felt a warm air envelop us, and immediately looked up. Hazel sighed.

"A cloaking spell. Don't step put of the shadows or make any sudden movements, but we should be safe if we stay here." she said in a quiet voice. "Why can't Hecate just magic us out of here?" asked Piper. "Too risky. Zeus might sense a difference in the atmosphere."

I looked down at my shoulder. "Are you okay Neeks?" I whispered to the shorter boy. He nodded, still not moving his head away from my shoulder. Just when I thought he might calm down, the yelling started.

" I ORDER YOU TO HAND THEM OVER." Yelled Zeus as lightning flashed through the hall. "I WILL NOT." said Hades loudly to make himself heard over the Thunder. Nico started to tremble violently and let out a wimpier. I was shocked. I had never seen him so scared. I turned slowly and wrapped my hands around the shaking boy. His head pressed into my chest and I realized that he was doing everything he could to stay on his feet.

Then Zeus muttered something under his breath and in a fit of fury, threw a bolt of lightning at Persephone, who gave a cry and crumpled to the floor. Hecate rushed forward to aid her, but Zeus stopped her. "You. I gave you a chance, but you betray me for this creature of filth."  he said throwing a pointed look at Hades. And that was the point that Hades lost it.

The room darkened, and the temperature dropped so low, that frost started to form on the diamonds embedded in the walls. A harsh wind pierced through the still air and the ground started to shake. Nico even took his head out of my chest and looked at his father with a frightened expression.

And Hades was a horrible sight. Waves of fear and death rolled off him, and his skin seemed to be fracturing, like he was about to unleash his godly form, but instead of gold, the lines in his face glowed pitch black. His whites of his eyes were disappearing, black bleeding into their place. He truly looked like a devil. I looked at Zeus and for the first time, the lord of the sky looked truly scared.

"May I remind you brother." He spat out the words as if they were venom. "That you aren't the oldest, dear sister Hestia is. And where is her throne huh? She stepped down without complaint, and now you do not spare her a thought. When we divided the earth, I got the Underworld. Did I complain? No." By this point Hecate, Apollo and Aphrodite had managed to wake Persephone who looked around alarmed. The pillars trembled and Nico looked as though he wanted to go out and stop his father. Hades voice turned deep and raspy. "We took out fate quietly, and you seem to forget, that even though you were always the luckiest, you aren't the most powerful. You aren't better than the rest of us. We're all just mistakes of the Titans. All of us." Hades started to tremble."

"Husband?" Persephone called out confused. The sound of his wife's voice was enough to calm Hades down, and the temperature rose again. " I do not wish war on Olympus. But I advise you brother. You have always been ignorant. But please do not forget what others have done. We will not hand the children over. The prophecy has been delayed long enough. It's going to happen eventually." he waved his hand, and a spirit appeared. One that Nico apparently recognized.

"Styx." He whispered. "Swear on the river Styx that you will not touch the children." said Hades quietly. Zeus looked at his brother with blank eyes. "I swear I will not touch, sabotage or attempt to harm the children of the prophecy." Thunder rumbled through the hall, and in a flash, Zeus vanished.

The other gods visibly relaxed. "You guys can come out now." said my dad obviously. We all stepped out of the shadows stunned and slightly (just slightly) terrified. I had never seen a god get so angry. Especially not Hades. Now come to think of it, he had had the worst luck of all the Olympians, and it's true that he never really complained. But seeing him get so angry had given me something to think about. I shot a look at Nico and Hazel, and saw Piper do the same thing. We locked eyes, and I knew we were thinking the same thing. If that wasn't even a quarter of Hades's power, how powerful were his children?

I was brought back to reality by a cold feeling sweeping over me. The cloaking spell had been lifted. Nico and Hazel were talking to Persephone and Hades, and Apollo and Aphrodite were heading toward me and Piper. Hecate was nowhere to be found.

"Umm... so. I'm sorry you guys had to see that." chuckled my dad awkwardly. "Nico will show you guys around. And, yeah. I know this is really confusing," No kidding dad. "But we'll explain more in the morning.

We followed Nico down a long hallway with white pillars lining the sides. With a jolt, I realized they were made of bone. Gross. A few minutes later we arrived in front of a door with a strange symbol on it. A elongated hexagon, with a different stone at each corner. Black, Gold, Blue, Purple, Grey and Red. I had a feeling that the symbol mattered, but I couldn't think why. We went through and entered a kind of common room.

Glittering glazed obsidian lined the floor. On the opposite wall were two door, one on either side of a marble fireplace. In front of the fireplace were two couches and a coffee table. Bookshelf's  lined one wall, and an array of instruments lined the other. Huh. I wonder why we need those.

Nico broke the silence. "That's where we'll be sleeping,"  he  said gesturing to the door on the left. " And this is the training room." As Hazel and Piper explored the room, I went to the bookshelves were Nico was.

"Hey Neeks?" he looked at me. "Mmm?" "Are you okay?" He sighed. "I guess. It's just, my memories are coming back now."

I looked at him shocked. "Really? That's great Neeks!" I gave him a hug. "But what's the problem?"

"The memories have to been triggered. It's like I've been getting flashbacks, and Zeus's lightning... Let's just say it brought back more than one. Anyway, what do you think the instruments are for?"

"Uh, playing?" I said with a smirk. "Oh shut up." Nico smiled and gave me a shove.
