Will's POV

I opened my eyes groggily. Where am I? The last thing I remember was Nico's screaming... I shuddered. That's right. Dementors. A feeling of dread pooled in my stomach as I recalled what I'd seen. My mother crying, people dying when I tried to save them, the war with Gaia, Nico fading....

"Ah good. Your awake." I diverted my attention to a woman who was bustling over. Despite her words, I could tell she was nervous about me being awake. I pushed myself up, and scanned the room in front of me.
"Where am I?" I mumbled.

It was a cavernous type of room, with large windows allowed sunlight to stream in. The windowsills were carved with delicate patterns, and there were beds lining the walls. It reminded me of the infirmary back at camp, except dull.

Across the room were Piper and Hazel, who seemed to be sleeping. I looked next to me to see Nico lying down. I smiled. The weak sunlight was filtering through the glass and coming to a rest on his face, illuminating his pale skin. His black hair contrasted vividly with his complexion, and his face was completely slack and devoid of emotion. A strand of his hair fell in front of his eyes, and I had to resist the urge to walk over and tuck it behind his ear.

"Eat." said the woman, shoving a large piece of chocolate into my hands.
"Uh.... thanks?" I said tentatively looking up at her. She glared down at me, reminding me of Mary Poppins. She looked overly strict. "Eat it. It will help you feel better." she said promptly. I looked down at the chocolate puzzled. I look a small bite, and felt warmth flood through my body. I looked back up at the lady, who was now fussing over Hazel and Piper.

"Um, where am I?" she turned back towards me sharply. "The infirmary of course. Heavens child, are you sure you went to Hogwarts for six years?"
"I didn't. I was home schooled." I said dully, taking another bite of chocolate. "That explains it." she said irritably.

Then a large groaning noise came from the side of the room, as two heavy-looking stone doors swung open to reveal a woman wearing black robes, a jade cloak and a tall hat. She strode over to me quickly, and took a seat beside my bed.

"You are Will Solace correct?" she asked me urgently, a nervous glint in her green eyes. I nodded, swallowing my chocolate. "Alright." she glanced over at Mary Poppins. "Are the others awake yet?" she shook her head, gesturing to Hazel and Piper. She sighed, and leaned back in her chair. "This isn't good Poppy. Snape want's to speak to them."
"Well he'll have to wait, won't he." said this Poppy character snarkily. "Serves him right, taking over the school and killing..." she stopped speaking, but I could tell her eyes were watering.

"Um, mam? I think I'll be able to wake them up." I said quietly. The lady smiled sadly. "You won't be able to. It's a dementor induced coma. It's not that simple."
"We're different." I protested. I swung my legs out from under the blankets, and got a shock as my feet touched the cold stone floor. I shuddered. I turned to the lady. I glanced down at what I was wearing, and realized that it was a hospital gown.

"Do you have our robes Miss... um..."
"Pomfrey." she said softly. "But I insist you get back into bed. You won't be able to wake them."
"Do you have our robes?" I pressed. She sighed, and gestured to a fabric basket in the corner. I walked over and rummaged though our robes, turning pockets inside out until I found mine. I reached into one of the pockets and pulled out a vial of unicorn draught. I smiled. I thought that it would be best to bring it with me on the train in case Nico had to shadow travel. Strange idea, I know, but it payed off.

I strode over to Hazel, who was the closest, and poured a few drops of the draught into her mouth. I waited for a few seconds, and then saw her eyelashes flutter. Satisfied, I moved onto Piper. Minutes later, all three of them were awake, and I was back in bed. Both the teachers -or at least I think they're teachers- were staring at me in shock. I looked back grinning.
"What?"

"Will?" I turned to look at Nico, who was now sitting up in bed sleepily staring at me. I stifled a squeal, instead settling for a smile. He had the most adorable bedhead ever, and didn't even seem to register we were at Hogwarts. He looked around the room sleepily, and yawned. HE WAS SO CUTE!!!!!!!

"Good. You're all awake." said the witch in green. "I'm Professor McGonagle, and this is Madam Pomfrey." The lady wearing pink smiled and waved at the others. "Now, I know this is sudden, but the headmaster wants to speak to you and ask why you had such a bad reaction to the dementors."

I threw a glance at Nico. "Isn't he the one who can read mind's?" I asked warily. He nodded, looking sick. Piper groaned.
"We're dead." she said falling backward. Hazel slumped against her headboard hoplessly as Madam Pomfrey handed her a chunk of chocolate. I looked over at Nico, who was fiddling with his promise ring as he stared into the middle of the room. I smiled.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked quietly. He turned to look at me, coming out of his stupor. He shrugged. "I agree with beauty queen." he said flat-toned. "We're dead."
"And why is that may I ask?" I turned back around to see Professor McGonagle staring at Nico curiously. He shifted under her gaze, obviously uncomfortable. He threw a glance at me.
"Um, because Professor Snape is a Legilimence, right?"

"How did you-"
"So we're dead." he said obviously, falling back onto his pillow with a sigh. "I dunno Will. If we're already this close to being kicked out, what are the chances of us completing this quest?" he said hopelessly as he turned to look at me. I lay down as well. "I dunno."

"What language was that?" asked Professor McGonagle.
"Greek." said Nico sounding bored as he took some chocolate from Madame Pomfrey as well.
"And how exactly do you-" before she could finish her question, the stone doors swung open once more. The man in the doorway had piercing black eyes, greasy black hair, and a long hooked nose. I gulped. Severus Snape.
