No one

She rumbled among the sheets before fully remembering that she was in a bed, Greysan's bed to be precise and sat herself upright in one quick motion. It costed her heavily, the feeling of her ligaments being weighed down by some invisible weight causing her head to spin.

Mani glanced at the beeping noises coming from besides her, frowning and breathing going taunt when recognizing the machine as a heart pacer clipped to her ring finger. It was going berserk, sharp and loud beeps with the line monitoring her shooting up and down at a rate she knew was alarming.

A pain stabbed her lowered rib, an inch down from where her bra strap fastened around her chest. Drawing her breathes was becoming more difficult than what it had been moments ago. Mani's breathing quickened, pain worsening with every breathe while her head spun in dozens of ringlets and everything began going distort. She was hyperventilating, and had a racing heart with chest pains. If she learned anything from medical dramas, it wasn't a good sign.

The bedroom doors flung wide, Greysan followed in suits with his most trusted cousin, Lucanio, both coming up to her from either sides of the bed. Tentatively he sat at the edge of her bed, being sure to not disturb the pacer maker clip or IV tube on her forearm.

Greysan hadn't spent a moment in peace since he'd arrived with Mani. He held her arm, lacing fingers together and started worrying after noting how much she was trembling. Greysan turned to Luciano in hope he'd be able to help, since Mani was busy ducking her head and her lengthened hair covering her expression that he knew was warped with pained. "She's having a panic attack, we need to calm her before she goes into shock."

Greysan didn't move, Mani after probably hearing what Luciano said, began to sway lowly as if she were to fall faint. Greysan held her tighter than before to keep her upright, pressing his side into hers. Luciano reached into the bedside tables drawer, holding out two new syringes with the needle, the size of a slender but thick knitting needle, and a vial of one clear and cloudy substance.

Mani whimpered when Lucanio reached for her limp arm, recoiling from the sight and feel of his latex glove. Greysan squeezed her from the side, allowing her to lay her head on his shoulder. He was coddling her with low assurances whispered into her ear as Luciano nodded his approval and tore to have the syringes removed from their packaging. Quickly, before Mani's breathe grew too swallow, Luciano took her still trembling arm and rolled the sheer bells sleeves up to expose her inner forearm.

"This isn't going to last long," he said at last, earning a displeasured growled from the other male holding his Mate. Lucanio bound a dull elastic band above her elbow to constrict the blood flow and used his gloved hand to feel for the pulse, the vein which would take the shortest time to take transport the medication his Luna needed to her slowing heart. "This will sting for a second, but I promise it will help."

Mani snuggles deeper into Greysan's arms, Greysan now holding a hand under her elbow to hold her down from behind her back. Mani was gasping for air when she flinched, face grimacing, the needle piercing her skin and she clenched her muscles in fear by balling her fist.

"Mani," both males chided, Greysan glancing up to meet Luciano's focused but concerned full eyes. Lucanio was also clamping a hand to her forearm with intent to soothe her.

"Mani," Greysan said, tightening his own grip to help his Mate loosen her own. "It's over."

Mani's body sagged, Greysan feeling it too began to press closely into her, Mani's eyes dropping while her breathing was immediately lighter and somewhat easier to inhale. No longer did it feel raw, like she had ran a marathon and nor did Mani have to feel the weight consuming her conscious.

She was breathing from her nose, her heavy lidded eyes giving out, gradually fluttering out the light with the feeling of berries on her tongue.

Mani had slipped from where she laid on Greysan's shoulder and was falling when both Greysan and Lucanio darted to catch her on the descent back, gently lowering her head atop the plush pillow and drawing the comforter to her neck. There was still a trickle of blood, Lucanio returning to dap it away before laying her arm crossed over her stomach.

Her inky hair was pressed neatly behind her back, the shorter of the few tendrils scattering her pillow. Greysan sighed of relief when he noticed the usual, but slow, rhythm of her small chest going up and down as she slept the effects of her trauma off. A hand of Greysan's cupped her cheeks and he bent to kiss her neatly done brows, trying keep the rage smothered whenever he saw the junction of her left side covered with the white squared bandage.

Greysan turned to eyeing Lucanio draw up the next entire syringe. "This should help with any pain, a sort of depressant," he added later, after the dosage was administrated, "to help keep any emotional rushes a bay. I don't need to tell you the obvious Greysan but she's weaker than what she was before. She'll need to complete the mating process soon before the next new moons hits or else," he paused, frowning and then chewing his lip nervously. "She may, never wake again."

"Don't remind me." Was all Greysan replied, sighing, taking a spot to lay besides his resting Mate, scooping up her body under the sheets and having her lay on his chest with a hand, his own hand running her scalp. It was soft like the petals of an orchid.

Lucanio rose and came around to check on her morphine drip, being sure to avoid meeting Greysan's eye and to give them some privacy. Even in slumber, Mani was adjusting herself to the built of her Alpha and Greysan couldn't resist the small grin that tugged on his lip anymore.
