We were finally tangled in sleep, my head rested on my mate's chest with his arms around mine, when the door was thrown open almost instantly. It was rather quite loud, the sound suggesting the door was nearly off its hinges.

Greysan launched into protective dick mode and rolled. Throwing me under himself, teeth bared, he snarled at my two grinning cousins.

I had to whimper from the pain radiating on my arms where from he had gripped me. Catching the sound, he let go. "Are you hurt?"

It was a small voice, so fearful it scared me. "Never," I composed myself upright and kissed his brows.

I turned to the two cocky looking male standing at my door step. "What in the fucking hell do you two penchods- oh, cupcakes!"

Indeed, carrying a box each, they had a clear top box displaying the assortment of iced goodies within. Resting them in my lap, I saw they were all plump and fat, a frosted dozen in each but mostly all were chocolate.

"Heard the news you were pregnant." Jai mentioned, not bothering to notice the drool starting to appear. I am a total sucker for sweets.

"Thought we'd make ourselves useful and bring you something for those cravings." Arsh concluded, leaning against the bed frame with his arms crossed.

Greysan combed his tangled locks, giving an exaggerated sigh. "She's been too sick to eat and busy retching most of the time. Besides, her cravings haven't began."

"By the way she's licked the frosting and her finger, she doesn't look sick to me," Arsh gestured to a busy me, trying to clean my thumb with my mouth.

"You said you weren't hungry," Greysan frowned, trying to move the boxes away from my lap.

"No!" I smack him, voice naturally going higher in octave like a baby crying. "No!"

"Stop being a baby! Eat some real good, not junk." I shook my head violently at him, knowing very well there some icing smeared on my lip.

"I don't want chicken noodle soup again, or carrot sticks or dry cucumbers sandwiches," I complained while grumbling. "My cup-cakes."

"She always has been a sucker for sweets," Jai murmured.

I wanted to comment but I felt a sharp pain and I was coughing violently, almost breathlessly too. "What happened!"

"Stu..stuck...in...throat," my words were coming in slices due to the violent intake. It had stopped but soon enough I felt pain in my chest from not coughing. I coughed in episodes while Greysan ran my back with his hand, refusing the water Arsh was trying to hand me.

"Mar na jayi kita," Jai murmured.

[She better not die.]

"What did he say?" Greysan shot, eyes narrowing.

"I'm fine...Archie boy," I rasp, voice badly choked. Greysan saw it as an excuse to take the boxes away from me.

"Have you two got any more damage to do here?" Greysan said with a fearsome glare.

"We mainly came to discuss with you Greysan, something important," Arsh said, amusement dying to the point where he was frowning a little.

"I think I've been hearing you for awhile, but please, continue rambling," Greysan said mockingly, still staring harshly at me. "Besides, you wouldn't have mentioned it in front of Mani if you didn't want her knowing."

I could hardly agree. The glare directed at them told them as much. Arsh winced. "You sure you don't want to discuss it alone?"

"I ain't deaf yet Archie boy," I scowl, holding myself upright with a hand against the bed. "Speak or forever hold your peace."

The boy's eyes bore no sympathy, only reluctance. "You have caught my attention, might as well give those answers."

Greysan didn't say anything when they turned to him. He simply kept watching me, a hand pressed to my lower stomach with a gentleman's softness.

"It's about the car accident," Jai's lower lip trembled. "It's suspicious isn't it, that a car just happened to crash into them."

I forced myself to swallow. "Car accident happen more than you think, what are you implying?"

"The driver causing the crash hasn't been found, dead or alive. It's as if there was no driver to begin with," Arsh completes.

"Even self driving car have a passenger," I reply lamely.

"They also have wheels," Jai retorted.

"They alway have idiots."

"Then were was the passenger?" Greysan said, asking the question we all were wandering aloud.

"No CCTV record or background history on the car other than it was stolen almost 8 years ago in Ontario," Jai said, shifting on his feet. "We can't find anything."

"Doesn't that concern you?" Arsh asked after a moment of silence when realizing I was helping myself to another cupcake. It was so sweet!

"Perhaps," I shrug nonchalantly, licking the glittering icy blue frosting. It was so pale, it almost reminded me of my mother's sealed, bloodless lips upon the metal stretcher in the morgue.

...

It's quarantine and now it's 3 am.

I haven't seen my friends in ages and I can't sleep. Online classes are wack and the fact that I never saw high school musical before last week is unacceptable!

Guess which bish hasn't read anything and has watched every Marvel movie, including Infinity War and Endgame in one day?🍿
