He Rejected Me. But We're Meant to Be.

Chapter 39: HOPE {Hold On. Pain Ends}

"Do you want turkey bacon or Canadian bacon?"

"Why can't I just have regular bacon?" I asked.

"Because it's not as healthy for you." He replied with a duh tone.

I gave Taylor an 'are you serious?' look and he gave me a 'yes, now choose before I choose for you' look in response.

I huffed and crossed my arms like a baby, "Canadian." In my opinion, I do not see why it is so necessary for me to be on this so called 'lean diet.' I wasn't fat, was I? Taylor thought that it was time I stopped being a couch potato and started eating right again.

It had felt like the days, weeks, and months were going by so fast and honestly, I don't think I'd be able to tell anyone how long it's been. I refuse to acknowledge how long it's been. In honesty, I'm doing better than I thought I would. I was afraid I would end up like those other mates who kill themselves after their mate dies but I knew I was stronger than that. I loved Aaron but my life is just as valuable as his was. Taylor has really helped. I mean, he's my best friend, aside from Steph. He was always there, he was the shoulder I literally cried on, days upon days on end. Albeit, sometimes I felt like I was on suicide watch but he was there. I think it's because he knew how I felt; he knew what it was like to lose a mate.

"So what are your plans for today?"

"Laying in my bed, watching Gossip Girl while eating an entire bag of pizza rolls and Doritos to myself." I smiled smugly. Ha! Take that! Taylor narrowed his eyes at me. Clearly, he didn't find that as funny as I did. He reached his palm out before speaking, "Alright, give it."

"Give what?" I asked in confusion.

"Your credit card, give it up." I groaned in agitation. Not again. "You know the last time you took my card, I just got other people to buy junk food for me."

"Yes, I know, which is why I had a talk which each and every one of them."

"Traitors" I cursed under my breath. I looked back up to Taylor and he had his hand out in a 'give me' motion, waiting for me to give him my credit card. I huffed as I walked over to my purse on the counter and fished out my wallet. I took my card out and walked over to him, almost about to hand it him as he reached for it but I stopped. The last time he took my card from me, I didn't get it back for a week. Who does this guy think he is? My dad? Instead of giving it to him. I stuck my tongue out at him and shoved my credit card down my bra where it was unreachable for him to get. He gave me a 'really?' look before without hesitation, stuck his hand down my bra and retrieved the card.

I gasped as he held my card up on front of my face and stuck his tongue back out at me.

How dare he?! Thanks to my super reflexes, I grabbed the card back from him but clearly his reflexes were faster than mine and he grabbed it back in super speed and made it visible that he stuck the card down his undergarments.

"I won." He stated, as we stared each other down. I glared at him and he gave me a 'what are you gonna do about it?' look so I waited few more seconds for him to think I gave up.

He stepped back in a cautious motion, "Don't you dare." I flung my head back and stomped my foot like a child. "What? Were you going to try to dig for gold down there?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at me.

Surprisingly, I actually chuckled.

"Well what'd you expect? You put your hand down my shirt!"

"You're still not getting your card back." He shrugged.
