Merry was a bundle of nerves as he stood in the altar. A million thoughts buzzed through his mind. After all, he was now marrying a Dwarvish Queen. There would surely be a scandal about the Queen marrying a Hobbit of all things, and he was so nervous to be considered a sort of King. But he knew he wanted this. He didn't care if she was a Dwarf or Queen - he loved her with all his heart, and he was ecstatic to marry her. Besides, the royal couple had been planning this for so long, and their subjects had waited with bated breath for this day. There would be no doubts now.

To console his nerves, Merry thought of (Y/N). The way her stubble felt when they kiss, her majestic braided hair in the wind, her smile which melted his heart on sight. She was perfect - Merry still had no idea how he managed to get someone like her. And yet, here he was, marrying her. It felt like almost like a dream... a wonderful, wonderful dream.

He could see his friends in the crowd. Pippin waved to him and smiled, and Merry returned the gesture. Even if Pippin was in Hobbiton and Merry was in Erebor, the two stayed in touch through letters. Merry knew Pippin was ecstatic for this moment, and proud as all hell. That thought alone lifted Merry's heart.

The doors at the end of the hall opened, and everyone looked to see the bride walk in. Merry's heart damn near jumped out of his chest, his cheeks flaring a bright red. She looked so beautiful...

Her (h/c) hair was tied up in a luxurious braid-crown, and her dress was white with black edges. She was decorated in jewels of all kinds, a gorgeous crown-headdress, and she held a bouquet of Blue and White flowers. She was breath-taking, moving along the floor like an angel. She walked up into the Altar and looked at Merry.

In her eyes, Merry saw true love. Her eyes held such admiration and passion, and his did the same. They loved each other. This was the best day of their lives.

The Dwarf priest began speaking to them, saying their vows and preaching of their love. The excitement was building in one another's chests, as the moment was far too exciting. The entire time, they stared lovingly into one another's eyes.

"Do you, Meriadoc Brandybuck, take (Y/N) as your beloved wife?"

"I do." Merry said, no hesitation and words full of passion. A smile pulled upon his new wife's lips.

"And do you, (Y/N) Oakenshield, take Merry as your loving husband?"

"I do." She said, sounding like an angel.

Love bloomed like a flower in Merry's chest, happiness overcoming him.

"You may now kiss the bride..."

Merry stood up taller to reach the Dwarf's lips, and the kiss was full of passion and love. The crowd clapped, and Merry could tell Pippin was crying from happiness. This was truly the best day of their lives.

The reception went quite well. There was dancing and feasting, a true celebration of the couple and their new life together. Hugs were exchanged between the Hobbits, the Dwarves were ever so proud of their new Queen, and the kingdom rejoiced. Soon after the guests shuffled out, (Y/N) and Merry left for their new shared room. This was going to be a fun night~
