38 - How Wrong

I will not falter

at the sight of such monsters

for I know what many don't,

or, rather, what they deny.

The monster

is in you.

Don't shun such an ugly face

for it pervades every space

which you occupy

in your everyday life.

You cannot run

nor hide

from how menacing you are.

Besides,

your reasoning is flawed

for it always comes from

a small bubble of

monotony and humdrum.

I think I'd laugh

with the devil by my side

at that annoying glare of yours.

The only thing dirty

about the dirty looks you give me

is how ugly

it really makes you.

Princess,

when will you get a fuckin' grip?

I'm tired of pretending

that I don't notice

how wrong this world is.
