"Is he looking at me?" I ask Rhys. "He's making drinks Maya" he rolls his eyes.

"But he was totally checking me out right?"

"I don't know" he shrugs. "Uh I need more girlfriends" I sigh. "I don't know Maya. Jack was just looking this way. Oh my god do something sexy" he whispers.

I flick my hair over my shoulder and look back at him to see him sat by Shawn. The two look at me then down at my body. "Jesus Christ" I whisper under my breath. "This is bad we need to-"

"You guys gonna stand in the corner or come sit with us?" Shawn cuts me off. Rhys sighs then we sit down next to each other opposite Shawn and jack.

"So Maya are you single?" Jack asks. "No" I shake my head yes. "Sorry I mean yes. As in yes I'm single, no boys over here, no loving. Nothing I'm very much sleeping alone" I then stop talking.

"I'm talking too much. I need a drink" I get up going up to the kitchen and grab a beer. "Hey you okay?" I turn to see Shawn standing very close to me.

"Yeah" I nod. "You won't even look at me" he huffs.

"Why would I? I can't look at you without feeling... feeling like-" I'm just gonna stop.

"Feel what?" He smirks.

I scoff moving away. "This is a joke to you huh. My feelings are nothing to you, that's nice to know seeing as though we were in a relationship. You have no idea how it feels to be rejected. Let me ask you, please be honest but you really don't love me do you?" I ask, he just looks at me blankly. I scoff moving back to Rhys.

"We need to go" I grab my jacket. Rhys stands up putting his jacket on. "Wait Maya, can I have your number or take you home" jack stands up. Shawn walks back looking at me. "Maya-"

"Yeah here's my number" I take his phone out of his hand, I put my number in giving him his phone back. Shawn shoots me a daring look, he wants to talk but I don't.

"So I'll see you around?" Jack asks. I lean up kissing his cheek. "You have my number" I chuckle. I turn then follow Rhys. Before I leave Shawn tugs me back. "Going for my friends?"

"Why would you care? You don't feel anything for me" I take my arm back then follow Rhys out.

"That was mean" Rhys says for the hundredth time. We were eating breakfast and talking about last night. "Rhys please say it again" I say sarcastically.

"It was mean. What if he wanted to talk?" He raises an eyebrow.

"You know what this is complete bullshit. You didn't even like Shawn when I was with him and now you're taking his side. And why would I want to talk to him?" I grab my plate putting it in the sink.

"Calm down Maya. What if he wanted to talk civilly? Also I'm not taking sides I'm just being rational" he shrugs.

"Really? I don't even know how I'm doing this right now. How would you feel, you just confessed you love somebody, you get no reply for days then get broken up just because you can't handle your feelings. I fucking love him and we have to go on as friends! He's being so calm about it too, he doesn't care that I love him. No one, literally no one is understanding my position here! It kills me seeing him and I can't say what I feel" I scoff.

"Maya-"

"Just leave Rhys. Please. I want to be alone" I sigh. "I'm sorry Maya" he comes over hugging me. I hug him back then watch as he leaves.

Fuck why did I say yes to being friends. I had no idea how hard this would be. But it's also killing me how he's going on acting like I don't say I love him.
