Nines' POV stilllll
The time was 6:45am. And work started soon.
I nudged Gavin, and he whined. Hiding his scruffy rat face in my chest, and hugging me tighter.
"Gav, wake up. We have to get back to work." I said softly, shaking his shoulder.
Gavin's whine turned into a annoyed groan, and he snapped his head up to look at me.
Then immediately hissed in pain.
"Oh phck...""Work starts in about an hour. I'd suggest taking a shower, because you kinda sme-"
"Shaddap! Gimme a minute..." he groaned, hiding his face in my armpit.
For a human that might not be the best spot to place your face.
He picked up his head and inhaled, before throwing the blankets off of him.
He had morning wood, and haha....
"Stop starin' at me." Gavin yawned, scratching his ass and grabbing some clothes before disappearing into the bathroom.
I got up, and grabbed my jacket. Sliding it on over my usual clothes.
My shirt smelled like sweat, booze, and pizza grease. Maybe not a good mixture for work....
I heard the shower start, and a loud thud.
"You okay?" I called, looking for the cat food.
"Yeah! Just dropped the soap!" Gavin called back.
I snorted, pouring dry food into their bowls.
The cats meowed at me, and the fluffy one rubbed against my leg. Purring like a tiny motorcycle.
I bent down, and picked up the animal.
It let me hold it, and rubbed it's head on my shirt. Getting cat hair all over my black shirt.
I put back down the fluffy beast, and it began to eat.
Gavin walked out of the bathroom, still pulling on his shirt.
I looked at his body, and actually noticed how many scars he had.
He finished drying his hair, before throwing the towel and his dirty clothes into the hamper.
I handed him a cup of coffee, and he smiled. Chugging the whole thing like he had been in a desert.
He threw on his jacket, and said bye to his cats, before opening the door.
I followed him.
Gavin drove recklessly, with a lot of road rage.
I held onto the handle on the door, and scanned my statistic of surviving.
69%
Gavin finally pulled into a parking spot at the DPD.
I got out as fast as I could, and walked in.
The woman at the front desk asked for some clearance, and we opened a link.
"All right, have a nice day Nines, and detective Reed." She hummed happily.
Gavin walked in, and grabbed some coffee.
I immediately looked for Connor. Having a million things to show and tell him about.
I watched as Gavin talked with Tina. Sticking his ass out and ranting. It was kinda funny, actually.
"Nines!" Connor called, looking at me from one of the holding rooms.
He pounded on the glass.
"Hank! Someone! I'm stuck!" He cried.
I walked over and let him out, trying not to lose my shit and curl up on the floor laughing.
Connor sighed in relief.
"Oh thank RA9."I chuckled.
"I got something to show you. Well, more like several things to show you."I opened a link and just sent him a lot of the files that had been saved to my memory.
He blinked, and his LED went back to blue.
"I'll take a look at those later.""Connor!" Hank yelled.
"Gotta go!" He chirped, and walked off like a dog.
I shook my head, and sat down at my desk.
Gavin walked back over.
"No! No it's not like that!" He yelled to Tina, across the building.
I sighed.
"Gav, Relax. Don't cause a scene.""I am a scene!" He snapped at me, and sat down.
The man child was obviously pouting.
His computer beeped, and he sat up. Looking at it.
Gavin exhaled.
"Oi, we got a case, robo-cop."I looked at him.
"Homicide?""Yep. The usual." He sighed, and got up.
I got up too, and followed him.
An: It's shot but like I wanted to get at least something out soon, y'know. Also I'm writing this to get it to 696 words and oof
