I saw everything. I was forced to see everything.

The Android escaped before anyone could react. Breaking the small window and climbing out, disappearing completely,

My lower half was completely destroyed. Whoever that android was, she meant business. She took me by surprise and got the jump on me.

And Gavin.

He now laid on the floor next to me. I tried to run a scan on him but my biocomponent was broken.

"Gavin..!" I coughed, reaching for the human.

He remained motionless.  I shook him harder and still nothing.

"Please... please...!" I found myself begging.

Most of the biocomponents on the right side of my head were damaged. Useless.

My scanner was broken.
My LED was broken.
My Auditory component too.
Most everything.

Then that dreaded timer showed up.

Imminent shutdown: 5:00

The panic set in. It would either be die here and leave Gavin in danger or die here and save him.

I went with the latter.

He still showed no signs of being conscious. I couldn't hear him breathing, Hell, I couldn't really hear anything except my own voice.

"Fuck!" I cried and punched the door.

Nothing.

The doorknob was above my head and it would be hard to grab. My legs were crushed and pinned down by a shelf.

I tried to reach for it. It was too far, just as suspected.

This is going to fucking suck.

I looked around for anything sharp. There was a broken piece of glass right next to Gavin's hand.

I took it and twisted my body to be able to reach my back.
Then the fun part begin and that timer began to rapidly tick down.

Thirium poured everywhere but I was free.

I reached for the door handle, shutdown already so close.

It slipped from my fingers. I didn't have as much time as I could've hoped for but maybe, just maybe I could make it out of this closet.

Once more I gripped the handle and twisted it. The door clicked and opened.

"HELP!"

Imminent shutdown: 00:1

"Nines?" Gavin mumbled.

I looked back at him just for everything to stop. To fade black.

"GAVIN!" I heard something scream from down the hall.

Chloe looked at me, confused.

"What the fuck?" I asked and got up.

"Elijah, should I accompany you?" Chloe asked.

"Sure..."

She opened the door for me and we cautiously walked down the hall.

"Gavin?!" The thing cried out again, this time not nearly as loud.

"Chloe, open the door." I said slowly, taking a few steps back.

She looked at me, then at the door and did as she was told.

The door disappeared into the ceiling and the rows of androids remained undisturbed. Except for one.

A RK900 was looking around, breathing erratically and LED bright red.

"Oh got fucks sake. Chloe, stay here." I sighed and walked into the room.

"Where's Gavin?! What did you do to him?!" I yelled as this man approached me.

A quick scan revealed the man to be Elijah Kamski. Gavin's half brother.

Elijah got closer to me, and smiled sympathetically.

"W-where am I?" I asked, taking a step back.

"Relax, Rk900. I know you must be scared. Waking up in this... place. Whatever happened before. All of it must be horrible, huh?" Elijah said softly, walking closer.

He looked into my eyes and caressed my cheek.
"It's okay now."

No it's not! Gavin might be dead! He- he might be-

"I know there's a lot to process right now. Take a deep breath, your systems need cooling." Kamski whispered, now so close to me.

I did as I was told and it made me feel a little better.

Kamski smiled and let go of my cheek, taking a step back with a chuckle.
"I guess it was a good thing to keep these around. To keep you around."

"What?"

Elijah stood back up straight and clapped.
"Bravo Rk900, Bravo. You did what Connor can no longer do. His model was... discontinued."

"I... I don't understand." I said truthfully.

"Oh you will soon enough. Anyways, did Gavin name you? I know you're no longer property but, y'know." He laughed.

"Nines." I answered and walked after my creator.

"Nines? Eh, I guess he never really was the creative type. It suits you though. No tea no shade, my dude." Elijah hummed, leading me out of the room.

Kamski turned to me once more.
"Now, I'm sure you want to get back to wherever you were. Chloe? Ah, thank you darling. Chloe will take care of you for now. I have matters to attend to."

I just nodded, still in a daze.

Like two minutes later

"Pick up, Pick up!" I groaned.

"Hey this is Gavin, I cant pick up the phone right now. Or I just don't want to-"

"Fuck!"
