Chapter 16:

Kii-ea po.v

Earth date 5-30-2250-210 a.d.d

This first thing I do on the ship is take my armor and binding off in the bathroom, striping down to my armor jumpsuit.

"Im alive"! I say with a wicked laugh stepping out of the bathroom the guys are laughing too, they know why I said it. I am setting down in the captain's chair and set up a couch for the boys.

We relax for a bit with coffee and drinks. I had just settled in when I looked at Malaki. Who had Hendrix in his lap and zed hovering in his chair on his other side.

Malaki was in contact with both of them.

"malaki, thank you for seconding the motion. It meant a lot." I smile to him.

"Well, im glad Xander suggested it, because I was going to if he didn't!" he chuckles.

"No way, I was thinking it too!" zed laughs to him.

"You're kidding, so was I." hendrix says with a tad bit of humor in his voice.

"Well, that makes all of us" I chime in.

"Great minds think alike, don't they?" Zed winks to me.

"SO kii-ea, how are we going to turn a town barely big enough for 4 thousand residents into a town for 100,000 people?" I turn my head to zed, and I just smile.

"Well, I guess im going to have to figure it out aren't i?" I'm smiling as I sip hot coffee. Its one of the few earths drink I enjoy.

Ok, ok it's the only one I've tried.

In the mist of my thoughts on coffee combinations, Malaki gets a radio call. He stands and takes our cups from us, placing them on the counter.

"We are all loaded let's head out." Malaki says.

"you should let Malaki try copilot your highness." V tells us, walking into the room. Her statement strikes me with interest. But I know this seating arrangement will help me with a little idea I had brewing.

"Do you think you can handle it Malaki? It's a ship the size of a house." I know full well Malaki can handle it, but I figure I should tease him anyway.

"Yeah, I think I can handle it." He states calmly, but I don't miss the wide smirk on his face.

With Malaki beside me I let him hand steer the ship out of the city. He doesn't even need to press any buttons he just rest his hands on either side of the console intront of him.

Once we reach the outskirts I let him take over completely. Give or take 2 1/2 hours before we get home.

"You're really getting used to my system, aren't you?" I say to him.

"Yeah, I can feel it better now." He smirks. I stand from my chair and look at Malaki. I see only one of his eyes is fogged over, the other is clear and still golden as the sun.

I take a chance im willing to bet and walk right up to him, staring at the man in my co pilot seat. Malaki looks up to me, confused. Here it goes.

'"Malaki." I say in my head, not through coms, no radio. I notice his grip on the console changes, like a flinch held back.
