Christ the King vs The Prince of Peace. Madison Square Garden. New Year's Eve. Guess who didn't even show up.
Rumor has it that the Prince was staggering like a fool among a flock of beggars and drunks only a few blocks away.
Christ the King showed up with His entourage and everyone could tell they meant business. On the way inside from the parking lot, security let some insane fan get too close.
Those crazy Prince worshippers will do anything. They're fearless. Fearless people can't be trusted.
Simon stepped up in front of the King so fast the worshipper probably didn't even realize that he was looking at a different person.
There was such evil spilling out of the man's eyes that Simon had no choice but to act. The man looked crazed, like he was about to set the world on fire. He hadn't shaved in years. He was unkempt, smelly, unsavoury. He was shouting and spitting all over both Simon and the King as he spewed his venom.
Simon cut him down. There was a moment of silence before one of the King's other followers spoke.
"Crazy Christians."
Christ the King and his entourage then went inside and waited on a show that never began.
