4. Sepang.

It had been a disappointing weekend for Sebastian, qualifying 13th on the grid and retiring from the race on lap 3 with engine issues. It was disappointing for me too, he left the circuit early and didn't come to the team night out afterwards that I'd had to attend. I hadn't had much chance to see him on Saturday either, not that I'd expected to. I know that when he's at a race weekend, the race takes priority. I don't want to distract him, he has a world title to defend. I had found out the morning after the race that he'd already flown out on a chartered flight with several other drivers. I made the long journey back myself on Monday night, glad I had a couple of days off to recover from the jet lag at my home in Anmer. I was then needed to attend an event in London on Thursday and Manchester on Friday with Saturday and Sunday off so I could get ready to fly off again to Malaysia on Monday.

So, with today being Sunday I was busy finishing packing before going to the nearby stables to spend some time riding my horse, Dakota. I heard my phone make a noise, I'd got a text from Seb. It was the first time he'd text me since our date, just over a week ago. I tried not feel annoyed that I'd not heard from him since I'd last seen him on Saturday, he was a busy person. We both were.

Seb V 🏁: Hi beautiful :) How are u? Sorry I've not txt before. I've missed u xx

I couldn't help but roll my eyes, if he'd missed me that much, why not text earlier? I quickly replied.

Me: U didn't come to the party Sunday night, got told u had flown home.

I purposefully left the x off the end, to let him see I'm not too happy with him.

Seb V🏁: I wouldn't have been good company. Just wanted to go home have a couple of days to get the race out of my system. Had a busy week after, blame Britta. I'm sorry I didn't get to say bye before I left. :'( Let me make it up to u when I see u xx

Me: I missed u at the party. Yes I will let u make it up to me :) I know u have to work. I blame Suzie not Britta xx

Seb V 🏁: Maybe u should have done the lucky rub ;) Maybe I should rename my car Shitty Suzie! Xx

Me: She's def not a Super Suzie! I am going to finish packing now before I go riding xx

Seb V 🏁: Lucky rubs and riding ;) xx

Me: Should have known u would think of THAT!! I meant horse riding! xx

Seb V 🏁: I'm jealous of the horse already xx

God, that last message! I immediately began to think riding Seb instead of Dakota would be much more beneficial.
