CHAPTER 57

"Kya!!!" Mami's eyes grew widened on hearing. 

"Aap Oberoi Empire ke maalik hai?" she asked still in shock while Shivaay nodded sipping the tea. Mr and Mrs Chavan were excited to welcome him but his identity shook them to the core.

"Aisi kya zarurat padi aapko ki aap aise jagah me rehne aaye?" Mama asked.

"Aap bulaane ki zarurat nahi hai. Mai apka beta hi hun, waisa hi samjhiye" Shivaay said while Mama smiled thinking that how humble he is.

"Actually meri family mujhe sab sikhana chahti thi ki har section of the society kaise rehti hai, manage karti hai. So it was just a deal" Shivaay answered.

"Kitne mahaan log hai" Mami commented and Shivaay passed a smile.

He took out the invitation card from the bag and placed it on the centre table.

"Ye meri shaadi ka invitation card hai. Asha karta hun aap dono aayenge" Mami's eyes lightened up on his words. She was baffled that she will be attending a Oberoi wedding which will be a grand event.

"Beta, iss khushi ke mauke me mithai khaoge?" she asked with utter sweetness.

"Nahi, mujhe meetha utna pasand nahi" Shivaay said.

"Hum zaroor jayenge, aakhir tumne itne pyaar se bulaaya hai" she added.

"Aur ek important baat hai" Shivaay paused, "Meri shaadi me aap ladki waalo ke taraf se aayenge" he said while the old couple look at him with confusion.

"Par hum unhe nahi jaante" Mama said.

"Mai Anika se shaadi kar raha hun" Shivaay broke the ice while their eyes widened in horror

"Anika!!! Matlab wahi Anika jo humari bhaanji hai?" Mama asked and he nodded in a yes.

Mami's expression changed in split seconds.

"Anika kab mili tumse? Hum kitne dino se use dhundh rahe hai, pata nahi kaha chali gayi thi aur hume khabar bhi nahi dia ki wo ab Oberoi khandan ki bahu banne wali hai" Mami ji chipped.

"Wo aana chahti thi par maine mana kia. Use thodi shopping karni hai gehno ki to wo Ma aur dadi ke saath gayi hai" Shivaay said.

"Use kehna aaye humare paas, hum bohut yaad karte hai use" Mami said.

Mama signaled his wife to go to a room and he too left.

"Aapne suna Shivaay ne kya kaha? Anika ke saath matlab hum kitne ameer ho jayenge. Mere to bhaag hi khul gaye" Mami said.

"Ye sab chodo, damad ghar aaya hai, use shagun dena hai" Mama ji said.

"Par hum kyu de? Unlogo ke paas sab kuch to hai, humare shagun ki kya value?"

"Sirf paise important nahi hai Leela, ye rasam hai."

"Ha ha thik hai waise chun chun ke ameer ghar waale ko hi phasaya hai usne. Isiliye gayab thi kyunki dore daalne me busy thi na Shivaay pe" she rolled her but then found Shivaay on the door.

"Iss baar keh diya aur maine chod diya kyunki aap Anika ke relatives hai. Warna mai apni biwi ke baare me kuch nahi sununga. Aur aapko kya lagta hai ki aap logo ko bulaane ka decision mera hai? Annika chahti thi ye. Use nahi pata ki uski mami ke man me uske liye itni karwahat hai. Aur rahi baat mujhe phasaane ki to let me make it clear to you ki Anika ke pyaar me mai tha aur maine use apni zindagi me chaha. Agli baar soch samajhke ke boliyega Mrs Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi ke baare me" he said with anger.

Shivaay entered the Oberoi Mansion only to find Anika laughing with a manly figure who was facing his back. He came closer to them and, 

"Hi Shivaay" the man said.

"Hi Vikraant" Shivaay said with literally no happiness in his tone.

"Wo aapko batana reh gaya par maine Vikrant ko bula diya" Anika smiled broadly.

"Nice" Shivaay muttered weakly.

"Waise I told you back then Shivaay that its a love matter but tumne suni nahi meri baat" he said and Shivaay smiled

"How are you by the way?" Shivaay asked

"Bohut bura haal hai" Vikrant said and looked towards Anika, "Meri pyaari Anika jo ab tumhari hone wali hai"

Anika smiled shyly while Shivaay's held his fist tightly.

"I will be back soon and Anika, tumhara chana ye hai" he passed her the parcel and went to his room.

"Tit for tat Mr. Oberoi" Anika smirked and joined hands with Vikrant, Rudra and Om.
