By the time his shift was over, the glisten and gleam of sun had long abaonded them, leaving the sky dark and air crisp. It wasn't such an assest to their damp hair but the comfort of the truck made up for it. She sat in the back, Marceline tucked under her arm laughing into her neck at a joke Jake made. This felt right to her, nothing beating the atmosphere of the moment. The rattle and croak of the truck glazing the road, the nimble conversation conversed within the front and back seat, and the laughs that escaped Marceline's mouth. She was just glad to see her enjoying her friends as much as she did. Not only that, but the fun that set ahead of them back at the household. Jake spurred plenty of hinting boast about the activities that would be held upon arrival. Snacks galore, motor man movie marathon, and the coming of girlfriends from both Finn and Jake. Bonnie was thrilled at the thought of reconnection with Lady, but also riddled with curiousity at the mention of Finn's mystery girlfriend. From what was told, they connected online during the school year and hung out since the start of summer. Finn refused to give any description on her, wanting Bonnibel to "experience" her essence for herself. It was all fine though, as long as she made him happy, she was happy. "Alright ladies, we have reached our destination." Jake spoke, pulling the truck into the dented driveway of the home and removing the keys from ignition, all moving against the leather cushioning of the seat to get out. Marceline untangled herself from her, mumbling something along the lines of, "If I knew we were staying over I would've brough clothes" to which Finn replied on a comment of Bonnie stowing away spare clothes in one of their dressers. It was true she did. With all the time spent with Finn and Jake, she never knew if she needed a spare so utterly decided to leave a pair or two hanging around for when she does. She thanked her previous self for the save, trailing behind Jake as he cracked open then door to the house. "Im on movie duty!" Finn erupted before Jake had the chance. Jake mumbled a complaint about being on snack duty, Finn sending him a playful grin and heading up to the bathroom to change out of the shaggy pool uniform, leaving her and Marceline in the living room while Jake prepared snacks in the kitchen. "Your spare sleep clothes are in the room if you two wanna change out of your clothes." She didn't have to look at his face to know he sent a wink and a smirk her way. She internally scoffed and moved up from the comfort of the sofa, taking Marceline's hand within her's and leading her to the shared room of Finn and Jake. Unlike her, Finn and Jake never had the opportunity to experience their own personal rooms, Jermaine taking the privacy due to his superior age over his younger brothers, but it was still nice etheir way. Each of them held a sperate side to the room, Finn taking the window due to the fear of the dark, and Jake the wall due to his liking of pitch black. It was ok, to say the least. Nothing to out of the ordinary besides Finn collection of knives displayed on his dresser, which she had previously gotten used to. Marceline eyed them with a hint of confusion, Bonnibel looking her way also. "Finn has a weird obsession with swords and knives. Not that he would use them on anyone. It's kinda like the people that collects action figures, his just knives." Marceline shrugged away her small worry of getting shanked to death in her sleep while she shurgged out of her shirt, Bonnie maneuvering open the dresser and handing her a pair of sleep clothes, one of which was pink. She could catch her grin radiating from the side of the her eye. "Pink? Really?" Bonnibel giggled. "What? Is it gonna kill your inner punk to wear a pink sleep shirt?" "No, but my inner punk may kill you." She laughed, snagging the shirt and sleep shorts. "You wouldn't kill me would you?" "I dont know Bon, you've been getting on my nerves for a while now, and Finn's knife collection isn't helping my urges." Bonnie laughed, sending Marceline a playful shove and a sweet peck to her lips, quickly dressing herself afterwards. By the time their laughter had died down and conversation came to an end, both girls were out of the room gazing at the current arrivals. Bonnie pratically mimicked Finn and Jake when she saw Lady, moving to her friend and holding her in her embrace. Lady giggled lightly, speaking joking complaints in her native language before returning back to english to formally greet her friend. To enthraled with the presence of Lady, Bonnibel almost didnt catch the sight that lay ahead at the door. She moved her eyes just quickly enough to catch the separation of Finn's lips on hers. She regretted it almost instantly, catching the eyes that once brought her friendship and happiness. Phobe

The atmosphere around them was stiff compared to before, well, maybe just for her. Every other person in the room set their attention upon the movie, Marceline's partially on her. She could sense her uncomfort, moving her hand from under the blanket to give a reassuring squeeze, trying to give her comfort. It worked for the most part, but her mind stilll roamed free. Finn, dating Phobe? It was almost unexpected and sudden. She could see them on the seperate couch, Phobe tucked under his arm with Finn's face as red as a tomato. She wanted more conversation and background info on them, but choose not to ask, resorting to eyeing their fondness. As if she could sense her eye sight, Phobe untangled herself from the cherry red Finn and standing. "Im gonna go to the restroom." The t.v muffled her voice, but not enough to where Bonnibel couldn't hear. She waited a minute or two after Phobe left before removing herself from her partner as well, Marcy gazing at her with those oogling eyes. "I'll be back." She whispered, finishing off her sentence with a smile and moving up from the seat. Down the hall, a left away from the rooms, and ahead of the bathroom door she stood, like she was beginning to leave. Her arms were crossed. It was silent, only their void ploring stares to speak what they couldn't. "So, Finn huh?" Bonnibel croaked, trying to control the volume and density of her voice in such an awkward situation. Phobe shrugged. "He's a good kid, I see alot in him." She could only nod, the quiet returning. "You know," she spoke, "I kinda had a feeling you would follow me back here." "You're not wrong." She rubbed her neck and faced the floor. "I just feel the need to speak to you, I don't like that we left off on bad terms." She admitted. Phobe only shot her a glance. "That was all you Bonnibel, you left me." "What?" She couldn't watch the tone of her voice. "I left you? You avoided me because of who I chose to hangout with." "Because she's bad shit Bonnibel! How mant times does this have to be explained!?" Her brows were all the way lowered, her voice raising slightly under the commotion of the movie. "Yeah Marceline may have some bumps along the way but that doesn't give you the right to make me *abandon* her! Your not being rational right now." She was silent, leaving the space for Bonnibel to speak on. "Me and Marceline are... Dating now. She's my girlfriend. Of course I still hope your my friend but im not just gonna neglect her." "It doesn't affect you that your girlfriend was a junkie did drugs the majority of highschool, sold drugs, stole, and initiated countless fights?" That's where she was wrong. Marcy was improving herself, making better decisions for the both of them. That was the past her. It was now Bonnibel's turn to not reply. "Im warning you Bonnibel, once you get caught in her web of shit, there's no getting back out." And she was gone, back to the living room to continue the movie, leaving Bonnibel standing there in thought.

"Bonnie." Marcy murmured, taking her attention from the rickety spinning fan that spun above in the room of Finn and Jake (who insisted that they could crash there), and to her face, which fit the description of concern. Bonnibel turned on her side. "Are you ok? You were strangely quiet for the rest of the movie when you came back from the restroom." Bonnie sighed at her worry, removing her hand from under her pillow and laying it softly on Marceline's cheek, stroking patterns with her thumb. "Im fine." She lied. "Just tired, that's all." Marcy nudged deeper into her hand, Bonnibel burrowing deeper into her hold as Marcy secured her with her arms around her waist. "Good. I hate to see you sad, your all I got right now and I just wanna make you happy when your not." And the same for her, but was it best? She could not reconcile herself to the reappearing words of Phobe. What web she would get caught in with Marceline, she wasn't sure, but all she knew was that she was everything to her too . She responded to her words with physical affection, planting a kiss on the crook of her neck and returning the hold. They fell asleep just like that.
