Part 35: Why

"Where to start..." Yoongi said trailing off into his thoughts as he mindlessly walked Jimin to the couch in his living room, sitting across from him on the coffee table so that he was facing him.

Jimin looked up at him nervously as Yoongi mindlessly rubbed circles onto the others hand with his thumbs.

He finally looked up to meet Jimin's worried eyes and let go one of his hands so he could bring his hand up to caress Jimin's cheek before smiling sadly and asking "Are you okay pup?"

Jimin took in a shaky breath and nodded his head before instantly looking down making Yoongi immediately scoop the other up into his arms with Jimin's legs being wrapped around his waist and arms around his neck where his head was also buried.

"W-why did he come back hyung? why now? I kept that promise to him for years but then he came back now after I broke it? w-why? why now?" Jimin said shakily as he tried to stop himself from crying which was becoming harder with Yoongi's loving and accepting warmth.

Yoongi rubbed his back and whispered "I don't know pup but I know he's a bad man so don't feel bad for breaking your promise."

Jimin pulled away so he could see Yoongi's face as a single tear escaped which Yoongi was quick to kiss away as he nervously repeated "A bad man?"

Yoongi looked away feeling bad himself for not telling him before but he was just trying to protect him.

He knew he had to tell Jimin but he wasn't sure if Jimin was ready to hear it in that moment.

But Jimin turned Yoongi's face back to look to him and gave him pleading eyes which he couldn't refuse.

"He was in the pack that killed your clan, actually he's the son of the leader. The next in line now who formally was the runt before he made himself stronger after that night."

Jimin looked at him with confused, hurt and curious eyes so he elaborated.

"As you probably can tell he's older than you and Jin hyung. Old enough to be involved in the attack on your clan which he went on with the mission to find you and take you as a prize. Him and Jin ended up fighting since Jin was the one who had you and because he was the weakest and well Jin's Jin, he lost. but Jin was too young to carry the burden of killing someone so he left him badly injured. The next thing we knew he worked in the orphanage you were in but we couldn't do anything but watch until the night Jin went back for round two and threatened him to leave you alone scaring him half to death because Jin was obviously a lot bigger. So he left you and went and trained to be stronger so he could take you to be with him and probably marry one of his kids as to prove a point but well that's not happening."

Jimin nodded slowly and said "So Jin is why he left but it was for my safety?"

Yoongi paused reluctantly before nodding slightly so Jimin nodded again and whispered "I need to thank him and give him a hug..." which made Yoongi genuinely smile.

Yoongi added "He probably was in the pack that chased you and Jungkook which we're in the process of dealing with so that'll be how he knew. He was probably watching you like we were... so that would be why now. He probably felt threatened."

Jimin mumbled "Good." before hugging onto Yoongi again scared of where he knew the conversation was going next which Yoongi could sense so he kissed the others head sweetly before making him look up again.

"We need to talk about us pup."
