Not that I had a horrible childhood or anything, but enough shit can happen to you just by being an "accident child" (a surprise! As mom always corrects) dad wasn't around much for a while, but before I'd even turned 2, he found mom on social media (kudos to technology) and wanted to see me. So mom let him come, she'd never keep a baby away from its father, and I think she herself still really wanted to see him. Still loved him, I'd almost feel sorry for her if it didn't seem dumb. Even now, they're good friends and for years all they've done is hug, but I've noticed how mom still stares at him a little to long.
