Pentagon; Washington DC

Lawson and Miller were led to a room by a young man in a suit. They pass by two guards in green with rifles on each side of the door. It was a sanctum used by people authorized by a high power in the federal government. Miller had been in that room twice. However, it was Lawson's first time. The man stayed with the two generals as they enter.

There were other people already seated in a long brown table that consisted the CIA's director, the secretary of state, and other officials. A single man, young with brown hair and in a blue suit, was out of his seat. His hand held his chin as he stared a large screen presented in front. His head quickly shift to the two members of J-SOC.

He cues the team of politicians to leave the room. He's John Malley, the president and the commander and chief who called the two generals at a short notice. John skips the formalities and points to a chair around the table.

"Sit." He commanded.

The president wasn't thrilled, and it showed. It was his first year in his term and decided to continue helping the country's allies completely recover. It was a promise that gave him the office. However, he wasn't prepared to handle an international crisis like King's Row, a problem that could destabilize the world. It felt too soon. The door closes shut, leaving the four men alone in the room as it falls silent.

"Thank you for bringing them here, Mr. Hendley."

Miller and Lawson knew Mr. Alex Hendley, Secretary of Defense. The man was young, but with some premature grey hair. He was a former military officer who then served under several presidential administrations. Malley and Hendley weren't exactly buddies, except on a professional level. He quietly sits next to the president.

"So..." President Malley began. "I've read your recent update on your missing operators. But I must ask if they didn't compromise any sensitive information to any of the survivors. We don't have time for a long conversation with the UN."

"Their missing executive, Ted Kent, arrived at the headquarters several hours ago. They were surprised to see him alive and all well." Hendley added. "He said he was held hostage by armed soldiers before a team of operators rescued him and provided safe harbor before sent away to a hidden escape tunnel that's highly classified."

"They don't know about our mission, Mr. President." Miller answered. "We made sure our operators kept everything that they did since they went MIA. They didn't tell anyone about what they found except for a man named James Logan. He moved the survivors out of London in exchange to not say a word about our involvement."

"James Logan is an overwatch agent." Hendley muttered helpfully. "Overwatch agents aren't allowed any action in King's Row."

"That's inaccurate! He's not a field agent!" Miller cuts in. "He's a scientist at the wrong place at the wrong time doing the only thing he could do, survive."

"You sure he's the only overwatch affiliate in London?" The president asked

"There's a possibility could be others in the dark, hiding. Perhaps they're impatient and looking to handle the situation themselves. But if I must say, Mr. President, that it's irrelevant. What matters is the intel the ISA and our men on the ground have gathered indicate the threat is much worse."

Malley opens a folder on his side. "Very interesting. This was gathered from your squad of four operators?"

"Yes."

"And it suggests they learned how Null Sector got their hostages through the help of a proxy group created by the one Emile Solomon, the same international terrorist who went into hiding after being supposedly killed four years ago?"
