******WARNING WARNING WARNING GAY SEX BEYOND THIS POINT******

HELLO ALL, I have a quick announcement about this chapter!

Okay, so, to kind of take a break from the drama and the fighting, this chapter is more or less full of, well, sex, cuddles, and some deep conversations. Riley and Abel get a little bit closer after Abel has deleted the picture and the blackmail is no more. The next chapter, however, has some drama in it for sure, so if you'd rather skip over the lovey-dovey chapter and wait for the next one, so be it. But otherwise, I hope you guys enjoy!

~Riley*~

Well.

That was basically the worst night of sleep that I've ever gotten in my entire life.

Despite the fact that I spent the night curled up in Abel's arms, I could barely sleep. My mind just kept racing and wouldn't allow me to actually fall asleep. I know Abel didn't get much sleep either, I could tell that he was awake.

Finally, after I began hearing the birds chirping and the sunlight began to peak in from the window, I sighed and decided to give up on getting any sleep. Without even thinking about it, I reached out, feeling around the bed for Abel and sadly, finding nothing but an empty space. I furrowed my brows and my eyes fluttered open, squinting to adjust to the light. Just like I thought, Abel was gone. I sat up slightly and peered around the room. Nothing. Sucking in a breath, I finally managed to pull myself up and out of bed, stretching as I did so. I shivered at the feel of the cold, hardwood floor on my feet and made my way to the door.

I paused before pulling open the door, listening for the sound of anyone else in the house. His mom likes me, but I don't think she likes me enough to let me spend the night after Abel comes home bloody and bruised for my sake.

When I decided the coast was clear, I opened up the door and was instantly greeted by the smell of bacon and eggs. I couldn't help but smile. I made my way down the hall and peaked around the corner the kitchen, my chest feeling suddenly tight at what I saw.

There stood Abel, leaning over the stove, poking and prodding at the pan. His raven hair was sticking up every which way and his once bare torso was now hidden behind a ripped up black t-shirt. Through the rips in the shirt, I could make out bits of purple bruises that made my stomach turn. I swallowed roughly but made my way into the kitchen, sitting down at the table. Abel glanced over his shoulder and his eyes glimmered. That queasy feeling returned to my stomach as I couldn't help but once again notice the angry red scars that shown out against his porcelain skin. With his bottom lip split like that, you'd think it would be incredibly painful for him to smile, but nonetheless, as soon as Abel saw me, his lips tilted up into a smirk. "Mornin', handsome."

"Hey," I muttered softly, leaning on my hand. I looked down at the table, tracing circles on the wood. "How're you feeling?"

"Eh," He shrugged, scooping the eggs onto two plates. "M'face hurts. But other than that, I'm peachy-keen. How about you, sunshine?"

I chewed at my lip, sinking down in my chair, and rested my chin on the table. "I don't know. I guess I'm alright."

He peaked back at me, quirking a brow, as he snagged two forks from the drying rack beside him. "Why the long face? You too good for eggs and bacon?"

I chuckled and shook my head. "That's not it. I just, uh... didn't sleep too well, that's all."

"I could tell," He snorted, setting a plate down in front of me and taking a seat. "You kept me up too with your tossing and turning. So, I figured we'd sleep in a bit and skip out on school."
