fast forward some hours and he’s at the airport, waiting amongst some other people by those doors that passengers come through after a flight.
he was biting his lip, impatiently; jimin had never been a fan of unpunctuality, and he had been there for almost half an hour. he decided to stare, unamused, at the marbled floor before noticing a bright speck of red in the corner of his vision. he knew at once, judging by the scandalous attire, that it was taehyung, and that the masked girl beside him must be chaerin.
the taller male ran towards him, engulfing him in a tight hug as soon as they crashed together, laughing tenderly. jimin, overwhelmed by happiness, couldn’t help but notice the fragrance around his neck area. it was most certainly expensive.
“my chim chim...you’ve grown so much since the last time I saw you!”
“you too... you even got richer,” jimin joked, teary eyed.
the boy’s voice was deep, manly, but it also had a warm undertone to it.
now, jimin was extremely sensitive to smells, sounds, and most importantly touches. some voices travelled through his whole body, travelling down his spine in ways that made him want to unconsciously squirm in his seat. some others, made him uneasy...and others, simply happy. kim taehyung’s voice was the type that made him feel at home, that took him to his childhood, to before he had gone. he almost cried upon hearing him in person again.
his friend ruffled his hair lovingly and stepped aside so that the smiling girl could introduce herself.
jimin had seen pictures of her before, in magazines, and on social media, but seeing her in person was so much different. her skin was pure gold, much like taehyung’s own cinnamon-like complexion, and her features were as sharp as his, too. they really were made for each other, he thought.
“you must be jimin, or as he says it, chim-chim,” she said with a laugh, as she moved her jet black hair behind her ears.
he nodded, showing her his teeth in an innocent grin, and bowing.
“see, rin-rin, he’s just like a baby,” taehyung cooed at how he was red all over. he knew just how much jimin hated being treated like that.

hey were now walking towards some shops that were located inside the airport. taehyung and chaerin had gone to a dressing room to change in some more comfortable clothes, those being hoodies and comfortable pants. they were having a conversation about their jobs, and about future plans.
“well, we’ve signed a contract, which means we now work together in the fashion industry,” chaerin explained to jimin as he nodded. “the downside is when it comes to photoshoots, tae's always so picky about the lighting and positions...so annoying,” she smirked as taehyung furrowed his eyebrows.
“yah, i’m not the one who takes hours to get ready in the makeup room!” he snorted, elbowing her. jimin was trying not to laugh as they began to fight.
“ah! ouch...you idiot, come over here!”
taehyung put his hands up in the air as soon as she started to tickle him. it was his weak point. “i give up, you win, i’m annoying, okay,” he scoffed. “anyway, enough about us, what about you, chim? how’s the audition preparation going?”
“oh, that...it’s going fine, i guess, we’re now practicing in hoseok’s new studio, i think i told you about it. it’s in three months, so i’ve got plenty of time!”
“ah, jimin, you’ll get in, i know it. you’re just too good! the judges won’t be able to resist you,” he pinched his cheek teasingly. “speaking of which…” he added with a slight smirk.
jimin tilted his head to one side in sweet confusion, much like a puppy.
“any new love interests in sight?”
the blonde shrugged and shook his head. “ever since...that happened, nothing .i might have a minor crush on someone, but that’s all…”
taehyung’s eyes went wide. “oooh, a crush? you didn’t tell me anything about a crush!”
jimin looked down and suddenly went all shy and red. “w-well, i don’t know if it’s a crush, he just...i don’t know, he’s just on my mind a lot lately,"
“what’s his name?” chaerin whispered, and this was now becoming more of a gossip chat than a normal conversation.
“y-yoongi..he’s my uber driver,”
taehyung suddenly burst out laughing.
“careful not to g-get his car dirty when you’re in the mood, then. you’ll get a fine for damaging the m-material!!!”
“taehyung!” jimin slapped him. “don’t say that…” he was terribly embarrassed, looking over to chaerin.
“aish, kim, stupid, the kid’s blushing like crazy!” she snapped. “don’t worry, chim, i’m sure everything will go well,”

jimin waved as they left for their next plane. time had gone by so fast...taehyung hadn’t changed a bit, aside from his wallet being fatter, he still had that cheerful spirit.
he was holding a bag that taehyung had got him in one of the shops. he wouldn’t tell him what it was, he just told him to ‘use it before going back home’. he was curious, so he opened the sealed paper bag. he was surprised to see a little perfume bottle, with intricate designs on the label and a rose tint to it. his english level was moderately good, but the word that was written on the label wasn’t one that seemed familiar, but he supposed it might be the name of a flower or something like that.
hmm, i probably smell like shit right now...i’ll put it on before taking the ride home. i don’t want yoongi thinking that i’m dirty, he thought to himself.
satisfied with the plan, he put it back inside the bag and glanced at his watch. it read ‘19:30’’. great, he still had time to get to the train station and be back in seoul before nine pm.
