I smiled as the small family left the studio, the mother thanking me. I nodded and ruffled the little boy's hair before they left. They'd been a lovely family, even if the children had been a little mischievous. But that was just children in general, wasn't it? Always getting into trouble and messing around.

The door opened and I looked over as a girl of about four, with curly blonde hair that fell past her shoulders and dark blue eyes entered. She grinned when she saw me and I grinned back.

"Mummy!" My daughter, Summer, screeched, running as fast as she could toward me. I crouched down and held out my arms as she hurtled into me, nearly knocking me over with the force of it.

"Hello sweetheart! Have you had fun with daddy today?" I asked. She scowled and shook her head vigorously, sending her light curls flying about her chubby face. "Why not?"

"Daddy made me go to the school shop and my clothes itched me and I didn't like it." She told me. "But then it was okay because afterward daddy took me to McDonald's and I got to drink coca-cola!" I frowned at her.

"I thought I told daddy not to give you coca-cola anymore?" I asked. Summer, looked down guiltily, pressing her lips together.

"Daddy said not to tell you. He said it could be a secret." She confessed.

I sighed just as the door opened and in walked a man with curly brown hair, carrying an eighteen month old girl in his arms. I frowned at him.

"Harry, I'm pretty sure I told you not to give Summer coca-cola anymore!" I said. He shot Summer a look of betrayal. She giggled and looked down at her scuffed pink shoes.

"Summer! You promised not to tell!" He cried. She smirked devilishly and began happily jumping around the studio singing loudly. I sighed and shook my head at her. She was mental that one. I walked over to Harry and smiled at the gurgling baby in his arms. Darcy smiled up at me, revealing the few teeth she had and began wriggling, reaching her fat hands up to me. "Why does she like you so much?" Harry complained.

"Possibly because I'm her mother." I said, scooping Darcy up from his arms. She looked up at me and gurgled again.

"But I'm her father!" Harry replied, but he was smiling at her too. You couldn't help but smile at little Darcy, she was so sweet and cute, with her golden brown curls and big green eyes. "How've you been Cass?" Harry asked, leaning down and kissing me. A screech sounded from across the room.

"Eww! Don't kiss mummy and daddy! It's bad!" Summer yelled running over and pushing Harry away from me, wedging herself between us. I rolled my eyes.

Harry picked up Summer and placed her on his shoulders, where she happily arranged her floral dress over his head so it looked like he was wearing some strange floral scarf over his head. She laughed and Harry looked up, trying to see what she was doing before realizing he couldn't, because she was on his shoulders.

"What on earth are you doing, Summer?" Harry asked.

"Daddy's wearing a hat!" Summer sang. I raised an eyebrow at her but said nothing. It was best to leave her to do what she wanted when she was on a sugar rush or she'd end up throwing a major tantrum.

"Shall we get going then?" I said, looking over at Harry. He nodded, gently as not to knock Summer off.

"Where are we going?" Summer asked, attempting to cover Harry's eyes with her hands, but he swatted them away, telling her to stop it.

"Uncle Lou's." Harry said. Summer pulled a face.

"With Leo? I don't like him. He threw Lego at me." Summer announced.

"Throw Lego back at him." Harry answered.

"Harry!" I cried, frowning at him. He shrugged as Summer began to do a happy dance on his shoulders, which I had a feeling wouldn't end well. "Summer, sweetie, please don't dance on daddy's shoulders, you'r going to fall off." Summer continued anyway.

I collapsed into the passenger seat of the car, thankful to be able to at least sit down, even if I could hear Summer playing Barbie's in the back seat and Darcy was smacking a toy rabbit against the window. I was willing to bet she would end up throwing it at Summer. I decided to try and prevent the drama. I swivelled in my chair to look at her.

"Darcy, can mummy have the rabbit?" I asked, holding out my hand for her to give it to me. She looked at it, then at me, then passed it to me, giggling. I smiled at her. "Good girl."

"You talk to her like she's a dog." Harry commented. I frowned at him.

"She likes it." I objected.

"No she likes you." Harry corrected. I made a noise of disapproval at him, much like the one I regularly made at the children. "Cassidy, our child hates me." I heard Summer quietly mutter "mummy" as a correction to Harry calling me Cassidy.

"Don't be stupid." I told him. He raised an eyebrow.

"Watch." He said. He took the rabbit from my grasp and handed it to Darcy, who began to chew on it's already dilapidated ear. "Darcy, can I have the rabbit?" He asked her. She looked at him, then the rabbit, then frowned and clasped the rabbit tighter, stuffing the ear into her mouth. I couldn't help but laugh. "Told you." He said.

"She doesn't hate you." I replied.

"Liar." Harry said, turning the key in the ignition.

"Well, if it's any consolation, love you." I teased. He winked at me, grinning.

"I love you too."

It was a task and a half getting the kids out of the car and into Louis's house. Summer clung to her car seat for dear life, screaming, while Leo, Louis's son, stood at the door laughing. This agitated Summer more, causing her to scream louder and hang on tighter. I let out an exasperated sigh.

"Harry, will you. . .?" I asked. He nodded and came over, giving Darcy to me and taking over with Summer. I walked up the front path to meet Louis, who stood wearing a bemused expression. I gave him a wary smile.

"Having fun there?" He asked.

"You bet." I said sarcastically. He smiled and reached out.

"Here, I'll take her." He said. I handed Darcy over and gave Louis an appreciative smile.

"Thanks for taking them." I said. He shrugged.

"No problem, it's always nice to have the girls. They're little angels compared to our two." Louis told me. I smiled down at Leo, who stood clinging to his father's leg, trying to see the baby.

"I don't believe that for a second. You're a little angel, aren't you Leo?" I said. Leo smiled proudly.

"Yep. I got two gold stars in school today." He said, pointing to the two gold star stickers on his school polo shirt. Louis smiled at him and ruffled his hair.

"I hope you look after Summer when she starts school soon." I told him. Leo frowned.

"I don't like girls!" He announced.

"You will like your sister though, won't you?" Louis asked. Leo stuck out his tongue and ran off, calling for his mum. I laughed.

Finally, Harry managed to prize Summer from the car and unload the girls' stuff into Louis' house. It took a while but we did it. Summer began to cry as we were ready to leave, clinging to our legs to try stop us from leaving. In the end Louis had to tempt her in with the promise of cookies. Harry took my hand as we said goodbye and began to walk down the front path. Just before we climbed into the car, Louis called out to us.

"Oh, Happy 6th wedding anniversary!" He shouted. I smiled.

"Thanks!" I called back, then climbed into the car.
